[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
(10-18-2018, 03:00 PM)PhantomUnderYourDesk Wrote: One could reason it with pure curiosity and wondering why there's a fine thread to a Rapidash from the Eastern Suns, add in the personal connection Nathan has to the Ponyta Line from home (why leave it behind?) and mix it all with Gallade having kept an eye open for the rest of the group = so possibly he has managed to spot Shiva somewhere in the battle on a Rapidash or riding a Rapidash in general in this scenery - and we have a way!~ ^^ That in a more elaborated way would at least be the reasoning I'd choose. I'd really would like to have this Rapidash to further ride on it's back through time

Or one can use the sheer logical reasoning, which is another mount to have on hand: We're a group of 5 and one more never hurts. Maybe it's even carrying some healing items or other loot with itself. As said, it may be useful later and in case one is hurt or similar, so why not take on that chance?

Getting our bearings does indeed sound like a good reason to delay, don't want to leave our tent and stuff behind! But I was understanding that this Lurch happened when we all were about to move on, so maybe we've gathered everything off-screen already? Depends on Iron's ruling and saying. *stares into their direction questioningly* I've also somewhat stopped counting Encounters during these timetravel shenanigans because it grew a tad bit obscure for me personally. Though it actually itches me to find out where we're landing and why, so I'd rather follow that Lurch now than later.

Nathan's also going to be wondering why the heck Shiva's connected to a warrior from the plains on top of a Rapidash.  He doesn't need either to necessarily ask questions.  Gallade could have possibly spotted Shiva, I suppose. Thinking about it...I have a vague idea of how Nathan might reason it, actually. Definitely going to consider that...

It might be obscure, but we still start to tire after every 3 encounters we do.  They don't necessarily have to be throughout the course of a normal day.  It's very important we keep track of how exhausted our characters are, just like when we were in Mt. Sentry.  1925 encounters were number 3 and 4 of Day 69, and we've gone through 3 in 500 AD during Day 69B.  Iron's idea of splitting the 'days' by when we take a proper 8 hour rest is a good to way to keep track of when the number of encounters we can take without becoming exhausted has reset.  If we take another set of encounters after this battle scene, we'll all be operating with a -1 Exhaustion penalty on everything.

Given the Lurch is happening immediately after we've finished our encounters in a battle and before we've all met back up, I don't think we had time to set up a tent or anything, so I think that shouldn't be a concern.
