Spira looks around at the strange surroundings and says "Wow... It looks pretty desolate. What time have we come to now?"

Nathan looks around to get his bearings, somewhat worried due to Calam and Gallades' reactions...as well as the reactions of Shiva's pokemon.

"...well shoot.  Wonder if I should have delayed that lurch for a little longer...judging by those Mamoswine bones, the surrounding terrain, how cold it is (*shiver*), and the lack of visible human civilization...we're in an Ice Age.  Towards the end of it, even.  Maybe 10,000 years in the past, give or take 1000?  We're not going to see any humans unless we know where to look for them..."

Nathan looks at the large pack of Absol again and shivers once more.

"...the last time I saw that many Absol running down from one of the mountains, Creshire as I know it was at risk of being destroyed...and they ran towards where the danger was originating from, too..."

Gallade's looking up at the sky with Lilith, a hand on Calam still.  When Nathan notices, he looks up too.

There's always a lot of debate among historians about what killed the dinosaurs, what ended the Ice Age...ancient history that nobody can really prove one way or the other because it was so long ago.  Generally, why such large numbers of creatures died off simultaneously is a mystery.  But generally, everyone can agree that something DID happen that decreased their incredibly massive numbers to almost nothing.

And as Nathan looks up with Gallade and puts the puzzle pieces together...

"...oh no...don't tell me a meteor is going to strike soon..."

Nathan takes a deep breath.  "...okay, stay calm, stay calm...find something else to focus on, Nathan...we'll get through this..."

Nathan looks around again...where's the Rapidash he tried to pull from Sarimanok's time?  He needs to calm that horse down before it runs off if it's panicking...and for that matter try and keep everyone else and himself calm, too...they're not going to be able to get through this mess if they panic, after all...
