Hida laughs at the belch. He's a little immature. He also rather likes this volcano.

The Magcargo is in a good mood now after that chemical belch.

"*cough* *cough*" (Spira uses only antidote on himself if that would work) "Hida did you catch that move?" (Basically asking if he learned how to use Smog) Spira then speaks to the leader of the Magcargo and Hida "How do you feel about some light sparring?"

Healing items work on humans, yes.

Hida gives a belch of his own - yep, looks like Smog! (It's a 0XP move, so he can learn it as soon as it makes any story sense for him to use it!)

Magcargo looks at Hida and nods. 

How many Magcargo do you want to spar with? You can either do a normal battle with dice rolls, or you can do a Training Session with up to three of your Pokemon. Every two or three Training Sessions, your Pokemon earn XP.
