Yes, I instantly knew I wanted that to be Calam's origin when Shiva recommended an Absol. I immediately threw out my other plan in favor of it. I was already planning on the time travel arc. I like having the party intertwined in this way.

You're up to share what this other plan was? I'd rejoice to listen/read out of pure curiosity and the AU-aspect.

Maybe toward the end of the campaign. I used elements of that other plan.
