Spira thinks to himself that he needs a better way to communicate with the party and considering the fact he's already at a PC, he checks to see if there's anyone that could help.... "Let's see... Professor Mallorn? Huh." *clicks on that PC* "Pokemon Professor, selling Pokedexes?" Spira sends this professor an email:

Pardon me, Professor, but I'd like to buy a Pokedex from you, and more info on this would be appreciated. -Spira

It also has a black and white camera, a B button for canceling evolution, a radio, a basic TV, and can swap Pokeball registration. Oh, and it updates automatically and wirelessly."

Spira does the quick math to figure out it'd take 30 Pokemon to break even on the investment, then replies to the message with "Alright, I'll buy one!" -1500$ As soon as he gets it he'll see what it says about Linkite and scan the rest of his current party with it.
