Taylor let out a long suffering *Sigh.....* as you bluntly answered her, shaking her head and slumping more into the couch.

"Figured as much. You've never been one to take things easy.....or lightly. Just......give me a couple of minutes, alright?"

Your other comments, however, managed to provoke a brief bit of shock from Kyubi, while your partner? cracked a smile and chuckled again, this time much more smoothly and amiably.

"Err.....yes, we did get to know one another, Reiner. I was curious about her, and she was about me, so we just....started talking to each other about ourselves. Well, not at first. She was not very.....chatty when we first meet, but she warmed up quickly!"

"Ha! Not letting anything get past ya tonight, eh? You've hardly changed at all.... Anyway, yeah, its like she said. Was kinda surprised some random chick already knew about me, so that left me a bit cagey around her at first. But once I got to know her a bit, we started getting along real well. Real ice cream of a woman you have there Reiner, and absolutely adorable whenever you came up in the conversation."

"T-Taylor!"

"Ha, don't say it ain't true, Kyubi!"

"Hmpt!"

The what the women told you sounded true enough on the surface, but their subtle phrasing and body language told you there was more to their prior discussion than just getting to know one another. Plus, though it was faint, you could pick up a sense of awkwardness and guilt from Taylor whenever she was talking to you/about you, while you felt a bit of resentment yet begrudging understanding direct towards Taylor from Kyubi, past all her Love for you in her unguarded moment.

Plot thickens....

Music time!  This is certainly quite awkward...

Oh yeah, Taylor and Kyubi got less past Reiner than they probably think (though in Taylor's defense, I 100% expect she was not expecting Reiner to have suddenly developed highly tuned Empathy)...not that he's going to directly say that he's picked up that they were definitely talking about him...

"...*sigh*...well, let me just be blunt about this, too: you two are getting along a lot better than I thought you might if you ever met by some seemingly random chance.  And you haven't changed much either in the last four years, Taylor.  Still as socially awkward as ever..."

Reiner uncrosses his arms and sits on a couch opposite the one Taylor is in, though his attitude is still somewhat stern.  "Kyubi, could I please talk with Taylor in private now?  She and I have some personal matters to discuss now that she's here."  He's fairly certain that Kyubi isn't going to be entirely happy about that, but the fact of the matter is that he and Taylor have their own secrets that they would rather discuss in private, just like Kyubi has her own that she doesn't want to reveal to strangers...

Oh yes, and as for Lindworm, he's probably cooling off somewhere else in the penthouse already, right?  Can't forget about him, either!
