[Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel

"Indeed! Now you look the part of the suave interloper! Be sure to avail yourself to the buffet if you wish, even though its mostly ceremonial for you."

I let out an appreciating chuckle at your agreement to leave the cuddlebug to her rest, and gestured once more with my wine glass to the only seat remaining.

"Good, good, that's exactly the sort of attitude I like seeing, Arial! It has served you well thus far, and I imagine it will continue to do so for times unforeseeable. Now please, take a seat, so that we may get started....."

Spiritmon's introductions and banter with his little jester brought an amused smile to my face, as I simply nodded along and sipped my wine. There was not much point for me to contribute to those conversations beyond backing up the puppeteer's word, so I didn't.

Despite that, I couldn't resist quipping as they fixed up their puppet, my head drifting to my shoulder as I favored them with a lazy grin.

"You repair his wardrobe in a snap, but stop short just at that? You could do so much more for him, Spirit, you know. But that your prerogative, not mine, so I leave that to you.

I nodded to your succient explanation, and then smoothly pick up the conversation from there, as per our want.

"Thank you, my friend. As Spirit said, this meeting is about the fate of your meek and chitenous girlfriend Riza - congratulation, by the way! Your proposal to her was just the sweetest thing to witness, and you handled your new role well, if a bit clusmly so. But what relationships don't have their stumbles, especially first ones between such an odd couple, eh? Hehehehe......"

"Ah, but I digress. For you and tu amor's sake, I'll be succinct with the details and purpose of this meeting. Primarily, we are all here to discuss reverting or transforming Riza Bette back into a 'normal' enough human, in exchange for a......cost on your part. For as well all know, nothing comes free in life, especially when asking and dealing for the miraculous and divine, as such is required to undo the curse of Residuam Culicidae on her."

With a flick of my glass, what remained of my wine spilled from it, and formed three images appear before you and you, each of them individually titled.

One was a man, whose shape wavered between that of a cliche mobster, of that a gladiator. It was labeled 'Transmigration.'
One was a man, bowing his head low as they were presented an sword and a set of armor by an imposing yet affable king. It was named 'Transferal.'
One was a man, standing tall and surrounded by his allies as he marched against a great unspeakable monster, whose appearance defied your comprehension. It was christen 'Transgress.'

I smiled lightly at the little jester, and do my best to explain what he sees before him.

"After thinking long and hard about how to go about rendering payment from you for thy requested service, I've settled upon three choices for you to consider. The first,' I point at 'Transmigration', '.....is for you to simply die, and be reborn as a new person. Their history and place in this world has already been decided upon by us, and upon reincarnating into them, so to will Riza become her human self again. You will have no memory of your old life, but the bonds you made with the people and Pokemon in your life will persist, as will their bonds to you. This is the easiest option for you, the only one where you must sacrifice yourself, but also the only one that's the simplest to accomplish."

"The second," now I point to 'Transferal', "....is to take on the role of that of our drake and collect all the remaining Cursed Arms. Their freedom was bargained for by an ever so delightfully amusing friend of their's, which is a a shame, really. He would have been rewarded greatly, had their friend preserved, but I've come to expect that most of mankind are not entirely fit to handle the tasks of the gods, though, so I planned accordingly for the drake's departure from my service. Nothing detrimental has impacted them while I still reaped benefits, so in the end it's just a big pity for them, but I imagine neither her nor their friend would see it that way, hehehehe...... Hmm, but I digress again. Collect for me four more Cursed Arms, and I will turn Riza back into human and release you from servitude, to frolic with and snog each other silly, or whatever else you two scheme and concoct. If you choose, though, you can continue to collect all the Cursed Arms, and in turn I will give you the reward that the drake's friend denied to him. I can't tell you much about it, as I hate to spoil, but suffice to say it is just divine. This is the moderate option, and the long term as well, but you keep on remaining as you are, and their is a great prize for you if you persist......"

"Finally....." I gesture to 'Transgress', "......you can choose to do battle against a great and terrible foe, who will threaten to devastate the entirety of this world in next hundred years or so when they arrive from beyond. I, however, don't want to wait that long to deal with the bothersome blight if I can, so that is where you come in. I'll transfer and the foe to fight in a pocket dimension I have constructed for such an occasion, and if you defeat them I will turn Riza back into a human. Unlike with the other options, I will render you some aid in your battle against the terrible foe, as without it I suspect you and your own would be reduced to your component atoms in due time. Not too much, though, for if I am too......excessive with my powers I'll attract the attention of that white cow and her children, which I don't want to deal with right now. Their time will come, but not presently if I have anything to do about it. This is the hardest option, and is obviously the most dangerous, but if you persevere you will get everything you ask for, and more......"

I place my glass on the table, and folded my hands across my lap as I smiled demurely at you.

"These are your choices, Arial Schrodinger, so think about them carefully, and choose wisely." *Shrugs* "....Or not at all, if you wish. I can appreciate such initiative, even if it has historically not turned out well for you. But maybe this time will be the charm, eh? That, and you can always just decline my offers, and I'll simply leave you and dear Riza unmolested, but unaided. That all I have to say, so think.......and....well, you know."

With that, I lean forward and stare at the little jester, and await his answer with patience and the most inviting smile imaginable.
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.
