When Hope speculates what 'smite' and 'god speed' might mean, Reiner says to her, "...well, I suppose you could say those moves fit the words' meanings.  That's probably not what grandmommy meant when she said them, though.  'God speed' is actually more along the lines of wishing someone good luck.  Smite...well, you've got the definition of that down already, but I probably don't have to worry about you purposely striking me for doing a little research, right?  The intended meaning of that comment is that grandmommy doesn't think I'll be able to learn much about Rayquaza's true power without actually seeing it for myself, which would probably involve making him angry.  And for our own safety, we probably don't want to make Rayquaza angry."

Ah, good, so everyone is at least standing back up again.  Good.  Except there's one who was left out of that headcount, and unless he managed to escape that windstorm unscathed, I think he might be a little cross with a certain narrator for forgetting about him...

That individual being Weavile, of course.




As for Kingdra's reaction to Hope's hatching...well, she's a little awed by how much sheer power she can feel radiating from the newly named Hope.  She also thinks Hope is adorable, and that she still looks a little like Lucy did as a Volchik despite looking almost completely different in most aspects.  She's definitely not fawning over the newborn, though, as she's slid right up to Lucy to make sure her friend is okay, tilting her head and staring in such a way to ask the Stormbringer as much.  Mobility isn't a massive problem for her at the moment because she's holding the Divine Water and her Ability is still Swift Swim for the time being, so it's a much smoother movement than Taylor and Lucy were probably expecting from a land bound Kingdra that (as far as they know) has Sniper for her Ability.


Eventually, Reiner looks at Mr. Mime, considers something...then pulls the TM for Heal Pulse out of his bag and a Luxury Ball.  Moments later, out comes Poe!
...?
...who then proceeds to look around the room and wonder what the heck just happe...
...!  Hi!
Eep!  Where did that voice come from?!  Poe scurries behind Reiner, most certainly startled!
...?
Poe pokes his head out from behind Reiner carefully when the thing that startled him doesn't seem to be trying to spook him any further.  Hope looks at the furry creature curiously, head tilted, as bird pokemon are wont to do when looking at something potentially interesting.
...Hi?
Poe carefully looks back at the strange, green bird.  Did they just...?
Yes!  Hi!
The little chick's burst of energy coupled with a short hop forwards in excitement startles Poe somewhat again, and he pops out of her sight once more.  Reiner chuckles.  It figures Hope would want to be extra friendly with a pokemon that's currently closer to being the same size as her, given that everyone else in this room is much bigger than she is.  "Sorry to startle you, Poe, but meet Hope.  She's only just hatched from her egg, just so you're aware.  She has a lot to learn, and is very eager to learn it all, it seems.  Hope, this is Poe.  Be a little more gentle with him, alright?  He scares easily."
...Startle?  ...Scare?  Be Gentle?  Oh, Sorry Sorry, Poe!
Poe peeks out from behind Reiner again once things have settled down a little, then looks up at the Dragon Tamer questioningly.  So...why's he been summoned?  Is his help needed?

Reiner's response to Poe's question: "Yep, if you could help out a little, that'd be great.  As you can see, a bit of a mess was made, and not everyone got out of it unscathed.  I've got the perfect TM to help with that, though, and I think you could probably learn it.  Would you like to learn Heal Pulse, Poe?"

The turbulant tyke seems to pause as you further define the words she's pick up, looking remarkably thoughtful as she toyed around with the new info, before she was right and active again with a *Chirp!*, squirming with renewed cheer!
Okay Okay! Understand Now!  No No No No, Never EVER Smite You, No No!! God Speed For Whole Family, For You Daddy! ....Hmm....Except Maybe Inky? You No Like Inky Very Much, So No God Speed For Them If No Want. No Make Rayquaza Angry Too! Never Be Mad At You, Daddy!
*Creeeeeek*

The sound of the door being opened caused you to turn around, and peeking through the entrance is none other than our favorite cat thief, Weavile, looking fine as ever! He was currently peering around the Training Room with a completely taken aback look plastered across his face, until his gaze landed on you and Hope, were upon he stopped and gave you an extremely expectant look and started waving his paw agitatively around.

"What in the Dragon Gods name happened here?! I leave for a few minutes to grab a snack from the kitchen, and the whole room now looks like Kingdra and Lucy has gone through a temper tantrum and wrecked the place straight to hell!"

....AAAAAH! ICE CAT, ICE CAT!! PREDATOR, PREDATOR! FREEZR ME, EAT ME!! SCARY SCARY SCARY, DANGEROUS!!! DADDY, DADDY, PROTECT, PROTECT!!!                .....It appears Hope's terrified of your sly feline, for a somewhat logical reason. Those instincts.....

Huh.....so that's were he was at! Sneaky kitty....he even escapes my notice from time to time....

Taylor of course picks up on the fluidity of the aquatic dragoness' movements, silently raising eyebrow at it before fixing you with the same look, while Lucy......well, she was a bit too distracted to pick up on such details. However, she DOES seem to snap out of whatever state she was in at her friend's  concern, craning her head over to give them a weak smile and soft rumble. Yeah, she's fine.......it's just......what's happened and her........daughter......it's a lot to take in.

(Typically, I'd prefer to at least control 1/2 of a Pokemon to Pokemon 'conversation', but you did the above well enough that I'll allow you to keep doing it)

Few things to add during the Poe v Hope interaction: Friendly as she is towards the sickly sibling, she's actually kinda intimidated by him, even though he's VASTLY weaker than her. Maybe its her instincts as a bird, reacting to the sight of a 'predator' fox , even though he wouldn't hurt a fly unless you ordered him to (and even then he'd be gentle about it!). Poe, meanwhile, is perplexed by the barometric birdy beyond his timidity, as the vibe of her is similar to a POWERFUL Dragon's, yet he's also feeling she's just an Electric/Flying Type tyke. Strange.....

He's distracted from his musings/staring out from behind you at Hope when you ask him if he wants to learn Heal Pulse, where upon he starts hopping around and letting excited "Eevee!"s, before hunkering down and looking up at your with pleading eyes as his tail wags 'furiously' behind him! That's definitely a yes! If they're one thing the Little Bro loves more than anything besides his Big Sis, its helping others, and having H.P. would let support others in a whole brand new way!!!

Oh god, he's too cute! Quick, teach him, before you acquire acute adorable apoptosis!

Poe learns Heal Pulse! What's he's going to do with it now?
