Royce doesn't respond, as he is Asleep by that point, but Taylor does give you a smile for your praise.

"I'll be sure to tell him that later, and yeah, Ridia can learn a little.....*Shakes head* yeah no, a LOT more discipline before she makes her next showing. *Looks thoughtful* Hmm.....agree with ya, but still wish she didn't end up that......unearthly."

Little Bro does seemed mollified by your kind words and pats, and gives you a sad but understanding nod of his head. Yeah, she can get a little rough and wile, but she still his Big Sis, and he loves and trust her with all his heart. One day, she'll settle down to her old self, but until then he'll be right there by her side, cheering and supporting her all the way, and making sure she doesn't do something she'd regret.

He (Poe) does request to be put back into his ball, though, as he's not in the mood to watch your battle anymore, bar you Ordering him to actually support your Pokemon (In which case he's willing to do).

Taylor takes one quick look at Arbok as its summoned, and cursed softly to herself, before giving you a wry smile.

"Well, that's a big ol' brute, alright. Going to be tough wearing down such a healthy looking snake, but I got a few tricks up my sleeves that just what might be what the doctor ordered, heh heh...."

The thief extraordinaire promptly recalls her heavy metal mantis, and without a moment's pause summoned her next Pokemon from a Love Ball, revealing Cathy, who blinked a bit before they looked up at the big boa and then at their partner questioningly......

"*Smiles sinisterly* Cathy, meet Arbok. He's your latest troublesome patient, a Poison type, and pretty solid all around, so feel free to bone up all your medicine techniques on him. And I do mean all of them. They're all prepped up too, so they're ready for your procedures. Have fun~"

.....before they calmly turned back to the snake, reached into their robe's and pulled out some sturdy looking and fingerless surgeon's gloves and put them on with an elastic *Snap*, and quietly warbled something to the slithering serpent and they stared into their eyes. Something that had his slited pupils suddenly widen in fear and scoot back, no longer looking entirely confidant after his easy victory over Royce.

Ruh oh.

Hmmm...well then, time for Arbok to not play nice, I imagine.

Reiner raises an eyebrow.  "...so, the doc can battle as well, eh?  Well then, this oughta be interesting...particularly since you decided to try to intimidate Arbok..."

Reiner casually slips a hand into his pocket...

"Arbok, don't let the doc get to you.  The time to strike is now."

...and then Arbok is surrounded by that sphere of sickly, purple light again...and when it bursts...

*hisssss*  *hisssss*  *hisssss*  *hisssss*  *hisssss*  *hisssss*  *hisssss*  *hisssss*

As the eight heads simultaneously hiss at the pokemon that attempted to cow him, Arbok looms over the plague doctor as he does the exact same to her.

Petrify activates, reducing Cathy's Dex by 1!  Arbok's Initiative is also bumped up to 14 from the Mega Boost!

Whether Taylor's heard of the incredibly rare Mega Arbok or not, I don't think Taylor ever expected Reiner to have one!

And said pokemon proceeds to lay into the plague doctor, attempting to immobilize her in some fashion (partially out of spite) with his now freezing cold maws.  All eight of them.

Acc: 5* Dex + 5 Fight + 2 Brawl + 1 Coil - 1 Acc - 4/5/6/7 Actions = 8/7/6/5 D6
Dmg: 2 + 6* - 3 = 5 D6
Eff: Flinch (4) and Freeze (2)

And if he manages to Freeze Cathy, can't seem to Flinch/Freeze her for some reason (including if Ice Fang gets Disabled), or gets too frustrated, his remaining actions will instead be...

GUNK SHOT 2-4
Acc: 5* + 5 + 3 + 1 - 2 - 5/6/7 = 7/6/5 D6
Dmg: 6* + 5 + STAB - 3 = 9 D6
Eff: Doesn't matter.

Let's see if Arbok's newfound luck pays off...or if his snake eyes somehow sabotage his best efforts again.  They certainly tried to in the last Round, didn't they?
