Part of it is just getting a sense of the rules.
Tip 1: Comb for every bonus you can get. Like don't forget any buffs your Pokemon have earned.
Tip 2: Carefully consider the order of your actions. Your first actions are more important than later actions, and any move with a chance to buff you or debuff your opponent should probably go earlier in the round. Early actions are more accurate, and more likely to crit.
Tip 3: Held items are pretty good in Pokerole. You may need to borrow some though, considering your character hasn't had time to accrue many yet. Some can be purchased. This might be more of a character-goal tip rather than a battle-tip.
Tip 4: Will points! Will points are awesome. You can use them to ignore pain or to automatically hit (+1 unremovable success). I would even allow that on a disobedience roll.
