"Yup.  I was thinking simple trainer item rules, like the ones Zamboni uses.  1 or 2 standard Potions for the battle.  Any preference on which quantity we allow?  Zamboni allows 1 standard Potion."

"...also, I have one more condition: if we battle here in the Safari Zone, we need to be near a body of water, just in case.  It might be easier to just battle on the Safari Cup's battlefield, though.  No wild pokemon to disturb us there, either."  He doesn't say exactly why, but he 100% means what he's saying.  Baaaaad things might happen if there isn't water nearby...though for all Angela knows, Nathan might just be wanting to use an aquatic pokemon that needs to be in the water to be effective.

"There's a beach over there on the boundary of Area 6. 1 purple Potion is fine. And Held Items allowed, right? You can get ready behind that stand of trees, and I'll get ready over there behind that hill. Meet on the beach when ready."
