Right by the door is an electronic time clock, where you can punch in. The last entry was last night at 5:30, someone going off the clock.
One table is covered in unusual black and silver Pokeballs with an "A" design inside a book, the symbol of Almanac. A binder lies beside them.
There are also quite a few computers, all powered down right now. They occupy one wall, and one corner of that wall is dedicated to the server! The server is protected by five pillars rising from the floor to surround the server box. A forcefield of purple light connects the pillars in a protective dome.
A small hole at the base of one of the pillars, about five inches in diameter and at least a foot deep, seems to be the only clue as to deactivating it. Or perhaps it's something on one of the computers.
Hmmmm...time for puzzle number 2, then...first of all, what's that binder contain? That's probably the second thing that catches Nathan's eye, right after the server wall.

Conditional Ball
This new variety of Pokeball will be useful in setting traps, containing powerful Pokemon, catching uncommon species, and expanding the relationship between people, Pokemon, and Pokemon freedom.
Using the attached technical documentation, a user can program a Conditional Ball to release or recapture the Pokemon it contains when certain criteria are met.
For example, a Voltorb could be released whenever a wild Pokemon enters the Ball's detection radius (about 100'), then automatically recaptured when the wild Pokemon is defeated.
Or a Bike could be released when a paying customer speaks the correct password.
Or a Pidgey could be released (and de-chipped) on the count of three for trainers to capture as sport.
Or your pet Meowth could be free to roam your house from dawn to dusk, and withdrawn as soon as the sun sets. Just make sure she can't leave the 100' detection radius!
There's an alternate use for a Conditional Ball. If you study a wild specimen long enough to understand it (5 Rounds), you can alter the program to increase the chances of the Ball capturing that specimen. An Almanac, or Almanac plugin for Pokedex, is necessary.
(Spending 5 Rounds studying a wild Pokemon, then you can use Knowledge+Computer Science to determine Seal Strength on any future Conditional Balls for that specimen.)
There are twenty sample Conditional Balls.
