"Ah, so it was Spira that challenged ya first. Usually I'm the first in the group to challenge the local Gym Leaders, but I guess he beat me to the punch this time since I was busy this morning! Hehe! He's been gunning for Elanor's gym ever since we met him, though, so I'm not surprised. Oh, and no need to worry about me holding back. If I'm seriously going for a gym badge, I've got little reason to."
(Out of curiosity, is Howl's Gym actually famous for many pokemon evolving mid-battle to meet the challenge of it? I feel like that'd be something that Nathan might know IC.)
Nathan can't help but smile at Howl's surprise at seeing a Primal Bulbasaur. "I see you're well informed. But how well informed, I wonder? If you would be so kind, let's bring a little light to this Dark gym and make it harder for them to fight back, Ray!" The Dusk Stones being fixed is all the more reason to utilize this first move, too!
Did Nathan say 'a little' light? He definitely meant 'a lot'. Ray's sparkling geode is revealed and starts indiscriminately reflecting light all over the room! And there's possibly a few plants rapidly growing along the floor amid the bright flashes as well, entangling all who get caught in them.
FLASH 1
Acc: 13 base - 5 Act = 8 D6
Eff: -3 Accuracy, temporary blindness for A-Persian until an action is spent to clear it!
Eff 2: Lights up the battlefield!
Note: Might react with the evolutionary stones casting light and shadow around the room in some way, I guess?
Grass Pledge 2
Acc: 13 - 6 = 7 D6
Dmg: 2 Pow + 5 Str + STAB = 8 D6 base
Eff: -1 Dex for all hit by the move!
Power Gem 3-5
Acc: 13 - 7/8/9 = 6/5/4
Dmg: 3 + 5 + STAB + Hard Stone = 10 D6 base
Conditional Order: If A-Persian Flinches Ray out of his first action (or if FLASH 1 misses), use FLASH as the second action instead of Grass Pledge.
Conditional Order 2: If Ray gets Taunted before he can use FLASH, action order will be Grass Pledge followed by 4 Power Gems
Note: If Alolan Persian has Fur Coat, then these moves should be unaffected by it!
Note 2: Clear Body makes Ray immune to all Attribute decreases. He's one tough rock to break down!
Nathan definitely isn't pulling any punches with these orders!
