The only reaction to 'Ven' from Spira is a puzzled expression;
"Dunno who this 'Ven' guy is, but the message seems urgent, so go ahead and play it."

Oh, and about that Shiva replies a hasted "Ven is just short for Ventus, a guy a bit older than you that was traveling with us for a while before everything became too much for him to take. Very kind, very dear, yet 'blessed' with a hate and fear for anything magical you can think up and able make those who harm him or his loved ones suffer badly." She'd also whisper solely to Spira a "You could compare his importance to me to the one of you-know-who *coughLeighcoughcough* to you."

Nathan adds a little on to what he heard.  "...slightly more specifically, he left the group for...personal reasons shortly before our time traveling adventures started.  He's been very busy since then.  He probably wouldn't be contacting all of us if he didn't think it was important..."

Nathan sounds a little sad as he says that, which may strike Spira as a little odd...
