THE LIGHTBRINGER ROUND 2

Round 2, Part 1

Dragonfighter blinks forward towards the world's blighter faster than anyone but the Legend itself could comprehend, wanting to take full advantage of their Flinch induced vulnerability to get up close and maximize the effectiveness of its ear blistering vibrations! However, before they could do so, DMN instinctively curls itself into a ball, causing their Prism Armor to strengthen! While Flinched, DMN suffers 2 less Damage from attacks, and Chance Dice of Move used against it are nullified.

Bug Buzz 1 (Dragonfighter)
Accuracy: DEX (*10 [Geez, their faster than most Legendaries at this point, even counting Plot Devices!) + 2 Fight + 5 Channel - 1 Pain - 5 Actions = 11D6 Dice
(5)(5)(1)(5)(3)(2) (6)(4)(2)(4)(5) Szz Szz SZZZZZ!!! Critical Hit!
(6)(5)(2)(1)(3)(6) (4) DMZ takes 3 Damage!

Leaf Blade
Accuracy: DEX (*9 [Melchoir doesn't benefit off Tailwind, since he still has his own + 2 DEX Buff from Assist] + 3 Fight + 3 Brawl + Hone Claws (1) + Bonus (1) - 1 Pain - 5 Actions = 11D6 Dice
(2)(3)(5)(1)(4)(5) (4)(6)(3)(2)(3) This time Melchior's manages to slice and sink his tail into the Lightbringer's armored face, following your orders! Critical Hit!
11D6 [+ 1 RAD BRN - IE = 0] + Crit - VIT (*7) = 6D6 Damage
(5)(3)(2)(2)(1)(1) No Damage! Turns out the mean green liger just bounced off ineffectually! Drat!

Recover
(6)(2)(3)(6)(1)(2) (5)(4)(3)(3)(3) Success!
(2)(5)(6)(5)(-)
Baltazar fully restored their HP!

After having a whole Round to notice and deduce that The Magnificent Leo was taking extra Damage due to its most hideous scorching from Gaspar, and that utterly infuriating moisture that stifled his flames was gone, Buzz Burner decides to switch to using more literal fire power to show it who truly represents the blazing sun, his body rapidly consumed by billowing white hot fire, making him glow nearly as bright as DMN itself, until he releases it all in one great big:

O V E R H E A T
Accuracy: DEX (*8) + Fight + Channel - 1 Accuracy + Bonus (1) - 1 Pain - 5 Actions = 9D6 Dice
(6)(3)(5)(1)(5)(6) (2)(6)(2) G R O S S L Y  I N C A N D E S C E N T. C r i t i c a l  H i t.
Damage: STR (*7) + 6 + STAB + Charcoal + Crit+ SE [RAD BRN - Prism Armor = 0] - VIT (*7) = 10D6 + 1 Damage
(6)(4)(5)(3)(5)(4) (6)(4)(5)(5) DMN takes 8 Damage! Buzz Burner STR decreases by 2, before Riza uses a White Herb to restore their precious moth to their full glory!
Such a bold and flagrant challenge raises The Lightbringer's ire even more! Buzz Burner is now a Priority Target, once Insectspector and The Sekmets are dealt with (In reverse order of listing)

Safeguard
(5)(1)(4)(2)(6)(5) (-)(-)(-)
*Hmmmz!* A protective aura surrounds everyone!

Arial: Pass

Dusk Mane Necrozma is Flinched!

Lightscreen
(5)(5)(6)(2)(2)(3) (-)(-)(-)
*Zum!* Force field in place! - 1 Damage for all Special Moves!

Riza: Pass

Bite 1.1
(3)(5)(6)(5)(5)(6) (5)(1)(1) *CHOMP!*
Bite 1.2
(6)(6)(5)(4)(4)(4) (1)(1)(4) *CHOMP!
Double Critical Hit!
Damage: 10D6 + Crit - VIT (*7) + 2 [RAD BRN - Prism Armor = 0] = 5D6 + 2 per Hit
(6)(6)(5)(1)(1) (4)(5)(6)(5)(3) DMN takes 6 Damage!
Flinch: Nope
Aftermatch: (2)(4)(5) (5)(1)(4) DMN takes an additional 4 Damage from the residual corrosive dark energies of the nuclear queens' Bite!

Bug Buzz 1 (Blooderfly)
(3)(1)(5)(1)(3)(5) (5)(2)(5) Hit!
(6)(2)(5)(5) DMN takes 2 Damage!

Cross Chop 1
(4)(6)(6)(4)(5)(5) (-)(-) Asura springs right at the world's blighter with all his might, and ends up piling driving its face into the dirt! Critical Hit!
(2)(4)(2) Unfortunately, that's all his mighty blow ended up doing, with most of its force bleed of by DMN's Defenses and the ground.
Flinch: Nope

Phantom Force
Insectspector vanishes into the aether, prompted into doing so when his otherworldly carapace wracked it with a deadly premonition. Uh oh....

Round 2, Part 2

Bug Buzz 2 (Dragonfighter)
(4)(3)(3)(5)(3)(4) (5)(1)(6)(6) THERE IS NO UPPER LIMIT TO THEIR NOISE! Critical Hit!
(1)(3)(2)(1)(6)(1) (2) DMN takes 1 Damage!

Getting rather fed up that swinging his bladed tail around was ending up successful as his attempts at making sushi (And just generally pissed at his foe), the mean green feline fighting machine readily gave up on trying to dice up The Luminous Liger entirely on Arial command, and proceeded to vent his mounting frustrations by just tackling them:

Iron Head On(e)!
(2)(5)(2)(4)(3)(4) (6)(4)(3)(5) *CLANG!* Critical Hit!
(4)(4)(1)(2)(2)(6) DMN takes 3 Damage!
Flinch: (4)(3)(3) Nope

Now complete patched up BY THE POWER COSMIC, the astrological wayfarer is fully energized and ready to start casting more shielding for his team!

Wide Guard 1
(3)(5)(4)(6)(1)(5) (-)(-)
*Ping!* All of Arial's Pokemon are Protected!

The solar moth, having been paying attention to the orders of his Lady's Mate and therefore knew that his pink moe blob fish was going to try and drench everyone again soon - to his very much begrudged acceptance - decided to light up the world once more and unleashed yet another spectacular conflagration at the Light Bringer!

O V E R H E A T  2
(4) (6) (4) (6) (5) (6)  (2) (1) B L A Z I N G  G L O R Y ! C r i t i c a l  H i t.
(6)(5)(6)(1)(3)(6) (2)(2)(4)(4) DMN takes 7 Damage! Buzz Burner's STR decreases by 2! Riza doesn't have anymore White Herbs, so her precious fireflier will have to deal with the nerf for a little while!

Airimid sees Dusk Mane Necrozma start to uncurl and the smoldering FURY in its ENTIRE BEING as the air around it began to shimmer and steam menacingly, and lets out a terrified squeek before she hastily points herself skyward and starts frantically spewing out wide curtains of water EVERYWHERE in the hopes of dampening the upcoming broiling!

Water Sport
(6)(6)(5)(4)(3)(1) (-)(-)
*Fffwooosh!* The entire battlefield (and everyone in it) is coated in a thick layer of water! Fire type Moves no longer have their BP added to them!

And not a moment to soon, for The Magnificent Leo was once more standing tall, and boy were they pissed. Those.....those.....THOSE WRETCHED ONES. Not only were they responsible for STIFLING their RADIANCE to such an lowly state in the first, they had commented further blasphemy by DENIGRATING IT FURTHER! THAT.....IS.......UNFORGIVABLE! For their MOST GRIEVOUS SINS, they were NOT GOING TO SHOW RESTRAINT ANY LONGER!

*▂▂▃▃▄▄▅▅!!!*

It BELLOWED, in purest ANGER. It sounded as if the world violently exploded......

(4)(5)(1)(4)(5)(3)(5)(3)(6)

and so it did not a moment later, as the air around the party ignited. Violently so.

C R I T I C A L  H E A T  W A V E  D E L T A  E X!
D A M A G E: STR (*7) + 5 (Water Sport Negate!) + ??? (2) + Crit + 2 SE (All) - Light Screen (1) - Wide Guard (3 [Arial's Team Only]) - VIT (*5 [All]) = 3D6 + 1 LETHAL Damage (6D6 + 1 for Riza and Co)
(6)(5)(4)(1)(3)(6) A R I A L  A N D  H I S  P O K E M O N  T A K E  4  L E T H A L  D A M A G E; R I Z A  A N D  H E R  P O K E M O N  (E X C E P T  I N S E C T S P E C T O R)  T A K E  5  L E T H A L  D A M A G E!

Hot hot hot HOT!!! H O T!!! A R R G G G H!!! Almost everyone was experiencing the excruciating and exquisite Pain of having their flesh melted and scorched until it crumbled away like soot, which was quite the mood dampener. Not helping that was the fact that all those field Moves were utterly destroyed once more and that plain old healing was just not going to be very effective for now on. Ironically, the party's prospects of winning against Dusk Mane Necrozma were beginning to look not so bright, which would only worsen if they didn't dim the Ultra Beast's lights fast.

Despite all that, however, not a single person or Pokemon faltered. They endured the agony of their injuries with their own determined grimaces and continued to fight against the Legendary foe, uncowed and their resolve unwavering. Such was the Strength of their Will and commitment to each other: Unbreakable.

(......Aaaand I'll pause the Round right here, due to DMN raising the stakes rather abruptly in such a way that it invalidates/majorly disrupts a lot of your current plans/backup plans, and I honestly don't want to make this fight any more difficult for you by just moving on without giving you a chance to react.)

Oh? Going soft on your friends, are we now, and in their jester's grand finale no less? Tsk tsk tsk. How do you expect that adorably fool to earn his accomplish and reward, if you coddle them so?

(.....I'm only giving them the chance to react to a drastic change of events, Zuryk. Nothing more, nothing less, and nothing that would sabotage your challenge and entertainment.)

HeheheheHA! How tritely hilarious, coming from you Windos. After all, your barbed words loses their sting when you and every other puppeteer are playing at the exact same game here. Maybe not for entirely the same reasons or goals, I admit, but it still makes you seem rather hypocritical to judge me for getting work done while having fun. What do you say to that, dear hamster?

(......This: I don't care if I am a hypocrite, so long as I try to ultimately do my best for my players and their characters in the end. Something which was and is often only a secondary concern to you, foxy.)

.....My, aren't you so candidly bold? Where have you been hiding that sort of attitude all this time. Or have you been cribbing notes on how to snark from the Dragons, eh? Or......perhaps you are finally making a return to old form, and have stopped being such a sniveling doormat, at least to darling old me?

(Make up your own bloody mind, or put that dark matter of yours to better use than wasting everyone's time. Including yours'. The show can't go on if you do let me do my job, after all.)

Hehehehehe! Oh, whichever it is or some combination thereof, I say its utterly delightful!! Very well then! I'll let you call for intermission early this time, Windos, if only - though not really just - because you've provided me ample compensation, and bid farewell for now. Keep up the good work, everyone. HeheheheheheHA......!

(........Welp, I've brought you time and the opportunity to use it after all, Spirit. Don't waste it, 'cause I don't believe Zuryk will be nearly as generous in the future....)
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.
