I don't know if that will work in the long run, given two sources of the issues Weavile had are still ever present, and likely will be for a long time to come...

But this is Reiner's choice.

Reiner ponders the offer for a good while...

It feels like ages.

He tightens a fist.

"...I should have seen it sooner...I should have gotten him to talk to me about it...damn it, Weavile...I don't want to do this..."

But he doesn't have the Willpower to let Weavile go when offered a chance like this.

A chance to maybe fix things.

Weavile won't like it, probably.

I warned him what he was about to put Reiner through, though...

And this might protect Weavile from some of the further concerns that were voiced...

"...just do it."

As for who will bear the burden of the consequences...

...it'll have to be Weavile.

...it's killing Reiner to do it to Weavile.  He knows how much it sucks to not be able to feel anything.  But...

...how often do second chances like this come along?

...and if things can get better...

...you can bet that Reiner will do his his absolute damn best to make sure they do.
