Not sure if giving a fire type alcohol is necessarily a good idea, but...desperate times call for desperate measures, I guess? Nathan needs Charizard to be in tip top shape since he's the only reliable spread move user that he brought.
"We'll check this room next. If we can find Luxray, he can find my dad. This is the best lead we've got so far. Be prepared to face something winged. And who knows how many more Kadabra. Let's see if we can enter quietly, try to get the drop on whatever's in there, if not outright avoid getting into another fight."
Nathan's in 'take charge' mode at the moment. This is his mission primarily. His goal.
"Everyone make sure you're patched up, just in case. I doubt this will be easy. Once we're all ready, we go."
Particularly if there's even fewer trainers in the room than there were in this one...
@Spiritmon and @Mikaruge108, are you guys ready? There won't be time to heal once we start.
Oh, and Nathan will actually hand the Baashaun Boots to Spira to use. "You probably need them more than I do. Wearing those should help quiet your movements a little." (+1 dice for Stealth checks. Just make sure to give them back to Shiva when you're done with them!)
You creep into the next room. Stealth time.
Spira: (4)(4)(2)(5)(4)(2) (3)(6)(2)(2)
Heart: (6)(3)(5)(5)(3)(4) (4)(5)(3)(3)
Nathan: (5)(5)(3)(6)(2)(3) (2)(3)(2)(3)(6)(3) (6)
Everyone passes.
The next room is cobwebbed with MSC in crystalline structures. There must be a hundred distinct mini-domes, each networked together in series. Kadabra are at work up there, gesturing, and you can see colorful light flowing through the crystals.
The room is the one on Nathan's map marked "Pokemon Training Area." There are many little hollows that may have once held animal beds or cages, a few iron bars still intact. You see a vast steel jungle gym, mostly pitted with rust, and very occupied by Pokemon. There are a couple Kadabra under there, digging a hole. Unown perch on the joints. Below them, strange birds like cave paintings are roosting upside down. These are the Sigilyph who used to guard the palace grounds - to this day they still patrol the area silently.
The Kadabra don't look up, but all the Sigilyph swivel their heads in your direction. Two dispatch themselves in your direction.
You'll have to sneak around to get to the buttons that can release Pokemon. Nathan does identify a few possibilities for Marco's Luxray or Skarmory or Feraligatr based on the color of the light in the natural Capture Webs.
Kadabra Chamber II Encounters - everyone pick a unique encounter
1. Name: Sigilyph x2
Reward: One person has to take this encounter to gain access to the chamber.
2. Name: Rusty cage containing unseen Pokemon
Reward: Luxray button?
3. Name: Unown Swarm
These are a mix of modern and Elder Unown blocking the way to one of the buttons.
Reward: Luxray button?
4. Name: Meowing noise
Reward: Skarmory button?
5. Name: Crystal traps and puzzles
Reward: Feraligatr button?
1. There's still no sign of Marco, but you have the distinct feeling his Pokemon are indeed here.
2. If you don't use particularly loud moves in combat/exploration, I won't reroll stealth. You can keep your current rolls.
3. It's fine to finish healing during selection, but no other prep allowed.
