Luxray hangs his head in defeat.

The room goes a little quiet.

Nathan hugs Luxray again.  To comfort both the lion and himself...it's hard to hold back the tears.  That would be the second pokemon that the Warrens have lost to the dreadful Skull Ruins for one reason or another...though Marco and his pokemon don't know about Forthright yet...

Gallade hangs his head as well.

After a moment of silence, while still hugging Luxray, Nathan quietly asks one more question.  "...dad's still okay though, right?  And Piloswine?  Or Mamoswine I guess..."

Terra was busy fixing dinner/setting up camp at the time the above scene occured, not wanting to linger around Nathan for the time being (out of guilt for leaving him with his burden/without his help), but he was still paying attention to the boy and his heartfelt/sad reunion with his dad's Pokemon. Seeing Luxuray more or less confirm that one of them, a Machamp, fell.....

He stopped what he was doing to bow his head, folded his hands together, and offered a prayer to the fallen warrior, loud enough for everyone to hear it if they so wish:

"Machamp, brave fighter
Used strength to defend Marco
To their very end

Machamp, righteous man
Let you be honored and known
Stand tall in next life

Machamp, caring soul
We shall take up your duty
Saving Marco
And protecting his son.

Machamp...may you be at peace now."

Once he was finished, he went quietly back to work, his expression composed but saddened. While he did not know the Pokemon in question, a life lost was a life lost, and it was to be mourned, remember, and cherished with as much dignity and ability one could afford.
