Can you get it down to 1d6-1? If so it will never deal any damage and will still spell out a word.

Shiva has 4 Str iirc, so that's a definite yes.  Pixie's Intimidate + Growl makes Solomon's Str 2 (so the damage pool is 4 D6 before Def), and the Kadabra have 3 Vit.  Lucky Chant prevents randomc rits, Light Screen does the -1...
