Lilith gestures and the fossil comes flying over to her. Geodude perks up and follows. But when he arrives at the party, a leering face comes looming up behind him out of the shadows, four dark hands outstretched in a hideous gesture!

The less insightful among you are instantly stricken with fear, but Shiva instead picks up an intense feeling of loneliness, of trying to fill a void by any means possible.

Spira calmly says "Hmm... A Cofagrigus... Never seen one of these before." Spira's response to Shiva clinging onto him is to (dunno how this'd work out) calmly pat her head. While he can't sense the loneliness that Shiva can, he can still tell that it appears to want something. "Say, I think we could really use those keys you and, I'm assuming, your Yamask followers are carrying, is there any way that you'd let us borrow them for a little bit?"

Spira gets the staredown too, and is found even more unflinching than Shiva.
