[Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery

Seeing Miss Jackie Frost suddenly gain a notable amount of Steel in her (oh, the irony!), Ran is forced to ameliorate his view of her. Apparently she wasn't totally daft in the head, if she understand and respects the important (not to mention the dangers) of such an historical site. Normally he'd disliked that, since it made doing his job even harder, but in fact it brings him no small amount of relief instead, since he was not dealing with a complete fool after all!

The bristly miner mulls over as to how he would answer her, until he just settled on being a candid and frank as he possibly could. If Rowan got on his case for it, he'd tell them to either go suck on an icicle or fire him if the operational security of the job was a big enough deal to keep from the local Gym Leader, one of the defacto heads of a given community and major representative of The League, in the dark about his job.

"Have ya heard about what's been happening with Mt. Coronet? If not, here's the deal. [Insert Explanation] .....So Professor Rowan hired me and a couple of others to go investigate that twisted mess of a mystery, and see what we can find out. Or better yet, if we can't find a way to fix the dang screwy problem without losing ourselves in the depths of the mountain. Part of this mystery involves these murals that have been popping up here and in other regions, and I'm wondering if Snowpoint Temple might have one of them itself or something else connected to this budding disaster. Place is practically the Sinjoh Ruin of our region, so if anything is so blatantly whipping up a terrible Hail Storm for our fair homeland, I'd bet my bottom Poke that it'll be equally affecting the temple in some way."

*Huffs, takes a breath, and continues, looking Candice straight in the eyes with a frank, serious, concern*

"That's why I need access to Snowpoint Temple. So, will ya give it to me, mam?"

Will she?

Candice frowns and drops her cutesy act entirely.  If there's one thing she takes seriously besides Pokemon Battles, it's her job.

"...no, I haven't heard about what's happening at Mt. Coronet recently.  Tell me the details."

She listens veeeeerrrrryyyy carefully to what Randolph has to say and takes a minute to think about her response.

She only says one thing in response.

"...fight me and my pokemon first.  If you can't beat me in a Gym Battle, I won't be able to let you go in there in good conscience.  Even if Professor Rowan has faith in your abilities, I need to see it for myself before I can give you access to the Temple."

You heard the woman!  Does Randolph accept the challenge?
