"Ah, excellent. Exactly what I was hoping to see, Karen and Kogeki. In exchange for two of those Snover (one from each trainer), I can give each of you either $2000 or trade a pokemon of equivalent rarity. Would either of you be convinced to part with them in exchange for one of those things?"
Snover are quite common in this area, so Professor Rowan can't offer one of the pokemon in the briefcase in exchange for a Snover. When Rowan says 'equivalent rarity', he means that he can trade most pokemon native to Sinnoh that can be considered common (Snover are common to this area) or uncommon (Snover only live in the coldest parts of the region, and can thus be tricky to find elsewhere). Refer to the Sinnoh Pokedex for a list eligible pokemon. As long as it can be justified as being common to a certain area or common/uncommon in the Sinnoh region as a whole, Professor Rowan can trade one of them for a Snover. If there's a particular Sinnoh native pokemon you want to have in those bounds, this is a good opportunity to get one!

To Kee (@PhantomUnderYourDesk):
"I'll let you and the pokemon be the judge of whether they're a suitable fit for you. Nothing toxic, but they are all obedient...for the most part. I can't make any guarantees after they've evolved, obviously."
Professor Rowan opens the briefcase and lets Kee take a look at the contents. Inside it are three pokeballs.
"These three pokemon have all adapted to living in colder environments in their own ways. If you have any questions about them, feel free to ask."
A Note for the rest of the party: It is also possible for the rest of the group to negotiate trading for the 2 experimental pokemon that Kee does not pick. However, these pokemon are quite rare and valuable. Professor Rowan is going to be hanging around Snowpoint for obvious reasons though, so if you happen to catch a rare pokemon that Rowan might be interested in studying/gather enough funds to outright purchase one, there'll be opportunities in Day 2 to work something out with the Professor.
