Karen then thinks for a moment; "Uhm, I don't want to trade him, but could you take a look at my Gastrodon, for some odd reason, he gained a third type, Poison, when he evolved."

Yeah, Feebas is rare, as are Skorupi and Gible.  Snover isn't valuable enough on its own to be traded for a rare pokemon.

Wurmple and Remoraid are common because they can be found all over the region.

Wooper is uncommon due to only being commonly found in and around Pastoria Great Marsh.

Feel free to trade Snover for any Uncommon or Common pokemon if you are trading them by themselves.

Rowan raises an eyebrow curiously when Karen mentions her Gastrodon has a third type.  "I'd be more than happy to take a quick look at them.  Studying Pokemon Evolution is what I do, after all.  If I may ask, what seemed to trigger the evolution?"

In that case, Snover is traded for... Wooper!
and Unown is traded for one of the rares on that list... Skorupi!
"He evolved during a battle when I had him use Ancient Power, and for a brief moment there was a subtle black light as well during the evolution, that seems to have been triggered by the Ancient Power."
