Nami very much agrees with that plan of setting up defenses, but not because it'll help protect everyone else.  Her main goal is to protect herself from this Dark type!  And if she has to cover this entire battlefield in sparkly barriers, so be it!

Nami screeches in pain as that cat wakes up and manages to land a strong blow on her.  The good news, though: she's not fainted.  Even though she didn't get out of it unscathed, the plan worked!  She can get the heck out of dodge and attempt to set those screens up again later!
