Musical Trainer-guy takes good look at the Egg Felix's pointing out, picking it up even and comparing it with the others with lots of 'Hmmmmm's and lots of glasses-adjusting. He also gives Felix a questioning look as he can't make out any difference between this Egg and the others, but he chooses to simply trust Felix in this case - He's a Breeder after all! "Within a day, you're sayin'... Sounds about fine, yes~"

Mechanical stuff

We'll take this Vulpix Egg IF it can be assumed that it will start with 2/2 or 1/2 in Happiness/Loyalty as opposed to the standard 3/3 for hatched Pokemon: 'Not as attached to you' worries me a little, neither me nor Kee want a sad and downcasted kitsune when I can prevent it. :C

His further words however arise a puzzled look from Kee as he stares at Felix for a solid minute before hesitantly responding: "Eh, no... I don't know how newborns are! O-Octavia came to me as within an Egg as a kind gift, but she was super-fond of me from the start on after hatching, and I never got another Egg, any Egg, since then...!!" He shakes his head slightly to clear his mind, dirty-blond hair's flying everywhere. "But, yeah, I won't have her battle alone until she's ready to do so.... Well, 's long smol Vulpix won't dislike me after hatching or bite my hand when I try to groom her, it should be okay. Say, you've maybe got anything I can take along that'd make her the seperation from your Ninetales easier and more comfortable? I don't know, maybe a blanket you used to cover the Eggs or a favored toy. I'll pay for that!" (up to 500$)

Since Ran ended up doing an Encounter first at the Pokemon Center, he'd opt to wait right there in the lobby for everyone to get back running their various errands/burning daylight doing whatever grabbed their attention like a clingy Tangrowth, sitting at the group's reserved table by himself. Currently, he was hunched down over a thick sheet of parchment with a pencil in hand, scrutinizing it heavily as he sketched and drew.....something. Hard to tell, what with him hovering over it like Mandibuzz scouting for fresh carrion.
A few sheets of paper with notes on them and his Pokedex were off to his side, but the former was in German while the later was currently in 'Sleep Mode', so they provided no clues either.
Oh, and he had a cup of cocoa in his other hand, from which he occasionally took an absentminded sip of as he worked. That too!
Right now, Randolph is focused on his work, so it'll take somebody going over there and getting his attention to realize everyone who'd want to join him investigating Snowpoint Temple has arrived.

Assuming Kogeki doesn't get back before Karen/attempt to get his attention, she'll get Ran's attention; (If he wasn't holding that pencil, and didn't have a short temper, I would have done a 'Guess Who')
"Uhm, Ran?" she taps his shoulder reluctantly, "Ya headed to Snowpoint Temple? 'Cuz I was thinking of goin' there myself." she twirls her bangs (funny how both my charas have the habit of playing with their hair when they're thinking.)  "I'd go by myself, but who knows what is in that temple."

Kee's ending up at the local Lobby of the Center sooner or later with that snowy Delta Grotle by his side and a Vulpix-Egg in an Incubator in his stuff (= in his bag, not outright visible for the others just yet), and the first thing he does is let Octavia heal up for the upcoming trip by the current Nurse Joy in duty. If it's THAT Nurse Joy, Kee'll give her a deadpan look, if it's another he's giving himself all normal and kind.

Eventually he steps by Karen's side who's carefully and currently trying to get Ran's attention who's appearing so focused on his work as if the rest of the world doesn't even exist to him. At first however, he adresses Karen herself "Oh, you're comin' to the ominous Temple as well? Lovely news these are, how rejoicing!~~" and ruffles her hair a bit in a half-teasing and half-affectionate manner while giving her a playfully-alluring smile. Then Kee clears his voice and speaks up towards Randoph in a slightly louder tone: "Hey Ran, woran zeichnest du da so eifrig und so früh am Morgen?~" (Translated: Whatcha drawing there so eagerly and early in the morning?~)

If neither this nor Karen's attempt work, Kee's all up to either summon Core to get Ran's attention with an Uproar, or alternatively get his electric guitar from his dorm upstairs and perform a heavy riff right beside him. Or both.
