[Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery

"*Grins* Catherine it is, then! Long live the new queen, hah hah hah!"

The Great Queen's Forewarning causes Ran to flinch back with a startled grimace, before it soon twisted into a moody frown boarding on the edge of a scowl.

"....That bad, huh? *Hiss* Fucking hell. *Slowly shakes his head* Looks like we got some unpleasant news to share with our friends, then. *Sigh* Es wird immer besser, nicht wahr? Großartig. Großartig...."
Translation: It just gets better and better, doesn't it. Great. Great....
He gives his cool dancer a semi-awkward but still comforting pat on the back as she started to shudder, sharing with her an apologetic yet understanding and resolute frown.

"Sorry to say this, but my 'business' I mentioned? Involves investigating the Temple. From top to bottom, thoroughly exploring every nook, cranny, and expanse we can get out for any clues or hints about our case. Get what I mean?"

*Pause to let it sink in, the pats them on the back again*

"Don't worry, though. You got me, the rest of our partners, our friends, and their parnters with ya, every step of the way, eyes peeled wide open like a caffinated Hoothoot for stranger and danger. If things get rough for ya, I'll be there to fix you right up, and I'll break anything that dares mess ya up like a hammer on sandstone."

*Smiles*

"Point is, you got my back, and everyone got yours. We're here for ya, alwaysEspecially me, ya partner. So, I repeat: don't worry."

With that short and hopefully motivational speech done, the bristly blacksmith switched Catherine's Aspear Berry with his Fairy Gem, giving her a canny grin as he pressed it into her hands.

"Still, a little insurance for ya won't hurt at all, eh? This ain't one of the Ice Gems I promised ya, but it'll still work wonders for ya Draining Kiss when you need to use it. Plus, you'll get some practice and experience with Gems if ya end up using it, so you'll be all prepared for your colder crystals. Hope ya don't have to use it, but as the old saying goes: 'better to have and not want, then want and not have.' "

After this exchange, Randolph begins to retrace his steps back to the start of the maze and try to find another, more fruitful way through it, using his frosty partner as a combination guide/anti-slipping support to get him through, and Stymph (Who was still out) speeding acting as a combination scout, sentry, and guard at ready for trouble until they all reunite with the group.

To give you a better image of how absurd this looks like, imagine two dwarf walking/gliding on ice, one ~ 5 foot 1-2 Inches (Ran) and the other roughly 4 foot 7 inches (Catherine). Ran, whose at least half a foot taller than his cool dancer, is leaning on her while rubbing his hip, a scowl of discomfort marring his features as half his attention is on the group, and the other half on the ground to prevent himself from taking another fall on a patch of ice. Overhead the pair is Stymph, hovering in tight circles as they did they job with ample severity, whose total size and wing span makes Ran and Catherine look all the more puny.

Such is the scene before you all. What happens....

(Man, that was a fun Encounter! It's going to cost me a pretty penny later, but I'd say it was worth it, through and through!)
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.
