They could be banned for Group Combat Encounters case by case, unless everyone's fine with them potentially disrupting their plans if they are going to be used? I'm fine with that concession, if it means GCEs go by faster and it causes less issues with among us players.

Yeah, that's really up to you guys to determine among yourselves.  I make no promises reckless NPCs will follow such a format, though. (Self Destructing Geodude are a good example I've used already, as Spiritmon can well tell you)

Part of the reason I gave you guys the Portable PCs was so that you'd have a versatile amount of options for preparing for combat and solving puzzles/clearing obstacles.  Plus, it means you can worry a little less about healing since you'll have access to a full party of 6 even if a few of your pokemon end up KOed (and pokemon left in the PC will be fully healed if left there overnight, too).
