Concerning Dratini hatching:
Nathan can't help but chuckle at how eager the little one is to find a home. "Well now, I suppose this would be a good spot to grow quickly, wouldn't it? Don't think this would be very good in the long term, though, particularly for one so young. Come along, little one. We'll find a good home for you, together, and we'll make sure you grow big and strong enough to take care of yourself along the way."
For the time being, Nathan does not register the newly hatched (male) Dratini to a pokeball, instead opting to let the serpentine dragon curl around his arm for transport purposes. Even though the young dragon has only just hatched, it's quite clear that Nathan has a rock solid bond with and command of this pokemon (4 Loyalty after that ancestry bonus, yo). Nathan will think of a nickname for them later.
Back to the present:
"...it is regrettable, but yes, human history is filled with conflict. Even if the Eye's influence were to disappear, though, I do not think much would would change. Not all battles are bad, and some are even necessary. History is often written by the winners, however...but regardless, I wish to make a positive impact if I am to leave my own mark on the history books."
And that is Nathan's take on the topic of human conflict.
----------------------------------------------------
Nathan's watching the Nidoran carefully. Hmmmm...how are they going to react to a Psychic type walking into their colony? Maybe not very favorably...though it isn't Gallade that Nathan's worried about. It's moreso his dad, who's still part Kadabra...of course, the Nidoran would have to get through all 5 of Marco's pokemon first if they were to turn hostile, but...well, Nidoran are the kind of pokemon that would probably multiply like rabbit pokemon in the right conditions...
As for the sword...Nathan's eyeing it up himself, though for a different set of reasons than Terra. A sword fit only for a king to wield, in a time where there are no more kings...who would be considered worthy among them, if anyone? Someone has to be...because if nobody is...
Nathan shakes his head, derailing that train of thought. No, someone HAS to be. That weird feeling he had when looking at that bust in Atheneum...it had to mean something...
...and he's pretty sure that the bust is going to end up looking like whoever pulls that sword free from its current resting place.
Terra's idea to explore around and request then derails that train of thought. Nathan is at least quick to respond, though. "...after what you pulled earlier, Terra, there is no way Gallade and I want you walking around unattended down here. Never know when trouble is gonna strike. So yeah, we're coming with you, no question."
