Proof that you're alive and aren't dead or dreaming? Hmmm...oh, I
know just how to do that. Uxie raises a hand to their mouth as they
let out a biiiiiig, infectious yawn...
Yawn *rolls* Kee also yawns,
suddenly feeling drowsy!
And then moments later...
Zzzzzzzz....
Octavia wanders over to Kee and pokes him with her ribbons, looking
at the yellow pixie pokemon with an unimpressed look in her eyes. Was
that really necessary? Yes, that was entirely necessary. Now, unless
you wish to wait five minutes for him to wake up, if you could please
use Heal Bell... Octavia rolls her eyes, but does as Uxie asks.

The bell chimes, and Kee suddenly finds himself waking up. On the floor. Still in the Sinjoh Ruins.
Uxie seems to be entirely unapologetic about what they just did, too. "That should be proof enough that you aren't sleeping. As for whether you're dead...well, I think your Oricorio would be acting a lot differently if you were, wouldn't you say?"
Well, that was a rather blunt approach from Uxie. Effective though, maybe?

That was by all means effective enough, the floor of these Ruins is extremely uncomfortable - oh, and freakin' cold - to take a rest on, regardless how long. But maybe that was just what it needed to wake up if this was all just happening in his head - which it appearantly does not, hooray, Octavia's expressed delight to see her most beloved person in the WHOLE world is just to real for that. 'Expressed delight' = She tackles Kee, scatters fairy dust and shiny scales all over his clothes (again), wraps her ribbons almost too tightly around an arm of his, and refuses to stop nuzzling him until he reciprocates the affection. Not awaking from such a rough greeting would be close to impossible.

Both of them eventually turn towards Uxie, Kee featuring a thankful expression. "That's proof 'nough for THAT issue, indeed, thanks for the help concerning that. For the Tapu's sake...." Reality hits him hard now, and he HATES it.

Following their suggestion, he also summons said Oricorio, and interacts with the spectral bird like he does on a daily base, keeping discreet watch for any new oddities from her. He comes to the conclusion that she gives herself to him like she always does, nothing hints to any major event that might have...awoken an
extraordinaire behavior from her. All quietly, Kee drops that fatal question at her eventually: "You... You wouldn't fool me about that, would you...?" Yurei immediately faces him with fully open and sparkling bird eyes, expresses with a slow dance that she'd never do so; quite the contrary: She'd absolutely ENJOY to perform a double-summoning of him and her previous owner, but she can't do so because her current owner, Kee, is walking in the world of the living. "Thought so", is what she receives for that assurance, as well as a nostalgic and fond smile accompanied by a few strokes beneath her beak.

Kee's Conversation With Uxie (And Afterwords)
Seeing Kee put to Sleep by the Knowledge Sprite outright made Ran
guffah, clutching his belly as he shook with laughter! "That's
what ye get for doubting Uxie, lad, hah hah! You'll get learned by
them, one way or another!"

He's not judging Uxie. He's judging the whole thing, everything that has happened since that fatal moment he exited the soundboard room of the Virbank Gym, basically everything that has happened so far - from being inside that icy cave for whatever reason to talking with some Lake Trio Members now. That's a huge difference!

Octavia knows about that, and immediately charges into offensive mode as Ran quite effectively pissed her off. She bristles her blue fur heavily, waves her ribbons menacingly and looks like she's about to punce any moment, and on top of that she does not growl, but SNAPS and HISSES at the blacksmith with such a force that even a Poison Type would think twice before approaching her now. Her message should be clear regardless how uninsightful Ran is: 'You SHUT THE HECK UP or I'll MAKE YOU do so, You have not the SLIGHTEST idea of what he went through and everything, so it's EITHER you stop jumping into false and outright mean conclusions OR I will make sure that you do by showing you FIRST-HANDEDLY how much sheer force I can put into these delicate-looking ribbons by wrapping them around your lungs to squeeze out EVERY BIT of oxigen left in there with utmost joy, then filling your bronchial tubes with so much fairy dust that you'll choke blood before perishing painfully.'

Speak about being triggered badly, overreacting and Sylveon being cute and docile creatures.

Uxie turns to look at Kee briefly before going back to
pondering.
...and then there's that
mystery. Before their sudden appearance in the Cave of Knowledge, I
have no records of anyone who match his description at all. How
curious...it's almost as if he shouldn't exist in this world...he is
very much real, though, as I just proved...hmmmm...I wonder...

THIS is something that he definitely does not miss, and it rises a whole army of red flags within him as well as turning around to the Being of Knowledge in a frantic manner. "WaitwaitWAIT. RIGHT. THERE. Uxie. ...What do ya mean by 'should not exist in this world'?! You JUST PROVED that I'm not dreaming this whole mess, Yurei assures me that it's all occuring HERE, HERE IN THE WORLD OF THE LIVING. If it's neither a dream, afterlife, NOR the real world I know and am familiar with, what is it then...?" That's more of a question asked to himself as he fails to get that, and Octavia has to jump in to prevent him from suffering a mental blue screen.

"In any case, I'm glad to
see you all here, and not just because you seem to be alright. Based
on what I've heard from Gene, what you've done here only further
validates my recommending you guys to Professor Rowan for this
expedition to Mt. Coronet that we're all about to embark on. And also
assures me that you can handle yourself, Kee. And yes, you heard that
right. I'll be joining you guys, both as added protection and also as a guide of sorts.
I've explored Mt. Coronet from top to bottom, including the incredibly
difficult to reach Spear Pillar. It took a little convincing for the
League to agree with Professor Rowan that it'd be a good idea for me to
go on such a long and likely dangerous trip, but hey, I think it's
warranted, as does Professor Rowan. Doubly so if we're going to end up
facing a Legendary. If we all work together, though, I'm confident this
mission will be a success!"

Huh. Now Kee's getting it, so HE, that guy right here, was that additional member of the, let's call it 'investigation team', the good professor was mentioning! How neat, that mystery's solved for now. Only more and bigger ones to come now.

He himself is more than fine with Lucas joining, as nothing he could think about would speak against that. Prof. Rowan let HIM join in too, after all. The local and colorul musician finds himself enjoying Lucas' confidence as well as willingness to provide protection - He finds himself wondering whether that's THAT needed though, but doesn't voice that, plus additional safety is barely ever wrong - and guidance - 'cuz getting lost within a huge icy mountain sounds 200% more uncomfortable than being lost within an icy cave. However, Kee won't treat him any differently because of what he has achieved, neither will he do so if he'd be to find out that he's the local Champion. Gym Leaders, Champions, Master Rank Contesters, they are all just people too behind that shining curtain.

What he does though, is approaching Lucas and giving him a confident and approving pat on the right shoulder, alongside a bold "Very well then. Here's for a successfull and glorious coopoeration then!~" And, Kee also takes that moment to give Lucas some sort of foreboding glance, one that more than clearly suggests that he's meaning it. It's coming along with those infamous 'shining glasses effect' before it turns into a sly smile:

The words given to Lucas are the following, spoken out if a neutral and quiet tone that's underining things more than it's necessary, only he is ale to hear Kee now. "You harm me, my Pokemon, or the bold young lady with the eyes of gold and silver, and I'll efficiently make you regret the time we've met with every fibre of your body by showing you how nasty a Toxic-Venoshock-combo from a potent Pokemon can be." He's not meaning any harm per se contrary to what it may look like though, neither does he believe Lucas would dare anything funny. However, Kee's trait of protecting anything he cares for to the degree of becoming a massive worrywart that'd give his own life before failing to protect them, shines through rather vividly.
