Absol tilts her head curiously when Randolph asks if she'd like a nickname, her purple eyes dimly shimmering.  Randolph suddenly has her full attention.

Taking her now undivided attention on her as a tentatively positive sign, Ran bravely pushed onward, giving the ivory wolf another slow nod.

"Okay then. How does this name catch your fancy then: Amethyst? It refers to a type of crystal and gemstone  the same colour as your eyes, and it's purported - said - to have powers of all sorts healing and protection, increase wealth and prosperity, divination and intuition, spirituality, and a whole load of other stuff. *Snorts* Oh, and the ability to ward off drunkenness, if you can believe that too. Think it be a perfectly good name for ya, but with all that said, do you?"

Ran pauses at this point, looking thoughtful, before saying one last thing (for now).

"I even got some Amethyst crystals on me, if you want to see what one looks like for yourself. You interested?"
