It's about time for Lucas to walk into the lobby!  Nurse Joy was about to come over herself, but she stays at her desk (for now) when the Champion walks over to the group.

"Hey guys.  I just finished talking with the Professor.  He's got some errands he needed to run, so he doesn't have time to meet with us before we leave.  I'm ready when you guys are, though.  Just make sure you've got your pokemon parties in order."  (Please tell me if you're swapping pokemon in to/out of your party before I post encounters, similar to how we treated the PTC in Skull Ruins.  When everyone has their initial team of 6 ready and you're ready to go, let me know.)

It's then that Lucas notices how upset Karen looks.  "...is something the matter?"
