You aren't sure it's even right about that. Given your experience with Primal Arcanine, you think there could be similar effects going on here.
However, the light purple and dark purple Eggs seem most normal in terms of lifespan, and could hatch sooner rather than later. The Pokedex gives them a week. But that doesn't mean they were laid recently.
By the state of the undead Charizard, it's been dead a long long time.
Hmmmm...this is weird. Very weird. Why would this place slow down egg incubation to a crawl?
...then again, this is the Skull Ruins. Does anything have to make sense down here?
Probably not.
Well, Nathan carefully packs up the 5 eggs (yeesh, we're almost at the carry limit now...) and gets ready to meet back up with everyone else...
...as he does so, though, he notices his hand is shaking. The one that was holding the Sword. It was hard to notice in the middle of a battle, but now that he has time to carefully consider what just happened...
...that Sword's powerful. Super powerful. Almost as strong as a Legendary.
...just wielding that kind of power...it's nerve wracking in and of itself. Should mortals even be allowed to wield such a tool, one that could fell even a Legendary? And even though it was Calam who struck the blow with his horn, it almost felt as if Nathan was striking that Charizard directly...that power, that feeling of possibly being able to cause harm...
...knowing what the Sword does is one thing. Actually experiencing it first hand is another. Only after using it for the first time does Nathan really appreciate just how powerful this item really is...an item powerful enough to make any normal pokemon fear for their life with just a single swing...
...
...with great power comes great responsibility...the weight of the reasons why Nathan wields the Sword are all the greater now. If it were to fall into the wrong hands...
...Nathan doesn't want to think about that right now. He finishes packign up everything, recording notes in his journal, and heads back to meet the others.
It's time to get the Helm.

*Bit of a Flashforward*
Trying to keep his distance from Cosh, Kelda, Shiva, Terra, and Heart is bound to only be awkward at best. Seriously, Nathan feels like the only (aware) person he isn't on thin ice with for one reason or another right now is Spira.
- He can't stand being near Cosh for extended periods of time, for obvious reasons.
- He's not sure what the heck Kelda even thinks of him right now after what he said earlier. He couldn't stay quiet, particularly when he might not have another chance to say something like that, but...did he push the point too hard? He honestly doesn't know since she didn't seem to react in any noticeable way...
- Shiva's just...well, as awkward to be around as usual, to be honest. Though given that she doesn't really want to talk to him either, it's probably for the best that they just avoid each other...
- Terra...well, to be fair, he'll still talk to Terra if need be, but...yeah, things are definitely still a little strained between them...
- Heart...after what the collector said earlier, Nathan just can't face him.
...except it's about time for Marco's daily Earthpower treatment since we just finished Encounter 3, right? Which means asking for Heart's help with that...well, Nathan can certainly manage that, at least. For his dad. Marco is counting on Nathan, and he's not about to let his dad down, no matter what obstacles may come between them...
