So if you want it, take it, and there will be no complaints coming from me.
Have it! I literally can't use the Metal Coat (Heh, made an unintention pun there, mate!) in any practical way (Aside from maybe using it as an accessory, but that's just wasteful), so anyone but me should take it, and I think YOU are the best person to own it. After all, if I recall correct you have the most Steel Type Pokemon outside of Terra, so they're plenty of worthy holder for it amoung his number.
On the topic of TFR, as I mention just a couple paragraphs ago, it's bascially a MUCH better Mircale Rod-esqe Item. To compare, The Miracle Rod granted a Base benefit of + 2 HP to Grass Types, and then gave Pokemon access to the Move Grass Knot regardless of their Type, while the Frozen Roar grants Immunity to Pain/Exhaustion Penalties as a Base Benefit to ALL types/Types of characters, and either grants the Move Frozen Roar for Pokemon or Victory Cry (to borrow a name for Shin Megami Tensi) for Humans to use against/on Pokemon as 'Moves' , again, regardless of type/Type. Honestly, it's a nice and clever way to recycle and improve upon an Item concept, so kudos for that Iron!
Speaking of the Miracle Rod, I had a funny thought about it, and looked up its original description to see if it could have been true or not: Could a Human Character have use the Miracle Rod to use Grass Knot? The original description:
' This Miracle Rod is related to a Miracle Seed. It emanates a fertilizing aura. When held, it adds two feet (and two HP) to any Grass-type Pokemon, and also allows the use of Grass Knot. '
....doesn't explicitly disallow it (Though Iron probably would have immediately veteod that, should it have ever been thought of). If we continue this 'What if's' line of thinking, if one of our characters choose to get a Grass Blessing from Jirachi, then they could have also concievably benefited of the + 2 HP/Height growth baseline benefit of the Rod, as while they're not a true Grass Type they are practically speaking embody its power (And probably would have acted like a Leaf Stone/Sun Stone) AND also have gotten pseudo STAB of Grass Knot (Which certainly would have been usable by the character at that point, if nothing else). Pretty nifty stuff, huh? Shame the power of The Miracle Rod couldn't have been fully realized and exploited, but hey, we now have the better Frozen Roar in place to joyfully find ways to abuse it! Mwahahaha!
That said, all this brainstorming got me thinking a couple of things, namely:
- Could the Frozen Roar be used by a Pokemon/Human to enhance/empower an Intimidation Roll?
- Concerning Jirachi's Blessings, could Heart's Fire Blessing act like a Fire Stone/Sun Stone to Pokemon with either an Surprise Upgrade!, using his immense Earthpower Specialty, using a catalyst of sorts, or just always having had it but never realizing it?
On to more recent posts....well, that's certain a most egnimatic and esoteric find you dug up, Spirit! Especially if it could manage to mind whammy you ever so slightly by reading it, even if Heart wouldn't be able to understand the Old Unown poems (As Nathan and Solomon [And maybe Sari] are the only ones fluent enough in that script to read it). Wonder what the hecky it does, though, besides sending whomever reads it into a trace like state.
Oh, and Iron, is that Arceas Mural he dug up one big Item? If it is, can Terra's Heavy Ball contain it all? Because if it can.....I certainly would donate it towards that cause for them!
Double oh, does Heart spending an Encounter unearthing that Mural mean he can't perform the Earthpower De-Cursing Ritual on Marco? Or does that count as a free event of sorts?
Encounter-wise, the only players that haven't spent an extra one doing stuff are me and Mika, unless Terra going around pillaging the Psuedo Throne Room and being sent running by Solomon constitutes as one Encounter. If he hasn't spent an Encounter, it might be a 'good' idea if he (and Spira!) does so anyway, since everyone else is doing it and creating a delay, so he and I might as well take full advantage of it (And if he ends up keeping and holding the Frozen Roar, he'd not be penalized for it at all, really). As for what....maybe have Angie randomly Dig around the Fortress for goodies? 'Cause I don't really want to investigate his Latios Card until after Deoxys is taken care of for.....reasons, but there ain't much more to do in the fortress itself in my opinion, and I also don't want to screw around with any of the local Pokemon around (that haven't fled from Solomon's Frozen Roar).
Well, considering what I found I think the Frozen Roar is a amazing item...could I still keep it if you don't mind? If it can be used to ignore pain and be a better version of the Miracle Rood, it could be used even outside of battle.
If you still willing to give, I accept the Roar this time...if you still want to give of course.
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.
