He winks back and assumes a gruff voice.

"Hello, Martha Warner. This is Dave with Shaymin U. We're calling all alumni looking for donations, how much can I put you down for?"

There's silence for a long moment on the other end of the phone. You hear a sob as your mother's voice catches.

"...M...Marco?"



Skarmory appears in a flash and your dad turns his face away from Nathan and mounts up. He hovers just out of earshot, still facing away. Occasionally, a drop of water somehow falls from Skarmory.

Nathan shakes his head, yet there's a smile on his face.  Always trying to act so tough...still, his parents do deserve a little time to talk privately after three years.  He is curious what the story behind Marco's choice of greeting might be, but that can be asked about later.  However, Nathan will make sure to say one thing loud enough for his dad to hear.

"Dad, if you get too far away from Dedenne, the connection might get a little spotty again!"

Other than that, he patiently waits to get his pokedex back while his parents are conversing.
