And thus, the world changed for the better.  Deoxys's experiments have been stopped, the Legendary alien pokemon driven into hiding.

While the current danger has passed, though, Creshire isn't safe yet.  Deoxys is still out there somewhere.

But for now, it's time to rest and recover from this battle.

Nathan joins Princess in attending to some of the Combee that got hurt in the struggle, particularly any Combee that had been singed by Charizard.  It'd be particularly rude of Nathan to not attend to at least a few of them since Charizard is his pokemon, after all.  Besides, Nathan would prefer it if as few of them died as possible.  They may be many and willing to sacrifice themselves for their queen, but that doesn't mean their lives can be thrown away without any regard for them.

Female Combee in particular get special emergency treatment if any were present and got hurt in that battle.  Their rarity does make their lives a bit more valuable than the males', though quantifying such a thing could be considered morally dubious.  Their integral positions as future rulers definitely make them very important among Combee society, though, without question.  Most male Combee would likely prioritize the safety of the females over their own anyways.

As for Charizard's response to Arete...well, he just rolls his eyes and ignores the currently tiny bug for now.  Given their current state, he'd easily be able to wipe the floor with them if they started to cause any trouble.  Picking a fight with them wouldn't be worth his time.  A Charizard will not typically fight foes weaker than themselves, after all.  Besides, Arete's probably had more than enough Deoxys parts to eat anyways.  They may be fine now, but given what's happening to the shorter lived Combee that have consumed alien flesh, eating even larger quantities of it would probably have some adverse effects.  Better to just burn up what's left.

When Spira asks what the rainbow colored sphere is, Nathan smiles and explains.  "That, my friend, is a Key Stone, the other half of the mystery we call Mega Evolution.  Noire couldn't be happier to be with you, right?  Well, I think you'll find something special will happen when you hold that and Noire has her own multi colored sphere.  I think it's better to try it out yourself than to try and fully explain it.  Just keep in mind that it needs a little time to recharge after it's been used, and the effects end immediately if your pokemon faints."

As for Nathan's own Key Stone and rewards, Nathan gives the Latis a small bow instead of a pat when they bring the rainbow colored stone to him.  And in response to the Mist Lord's question, Nathan actually has a bit more to ask for besides the TMs.  "If I could get TMs for Thunder Punch and Outrage, that'd be wonderful.  Also, if he doesn't mind, could Terra and I ask Latios some questions?  Namely concerning where he was before this mess started.  I don't want to be a bother, but...something about what Terra told me is bugging me something fierce."

As for which color I'd prefer for Nathan, that would probably be the Violet Key Stone. Nathan will also take said Key Stone and slot it into the eye socket of his Mutios necklace. He'll also take the Galladite and slot it into the eye socket of the Aotius necklace. He crafted these awhile ago, but he knew that he'd want to do this even then!

7 Key Stones, each primarily a different color of the rainbow...Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet...one for each member of the  group and the two Scimitars...

...given Nathan's past experiences with Scimitar members and Mega Evolution, he can't help but worry about the League giving some Key Stones to Scimitars.  Well, mostly Cosh specifically.  Kelda...

...well, let's just say Nathan can't help but ask her a question himself.

Ah yes, right, Loyalty and Happiness.

Gallade gets 20 exp, since he couldn't possibly be any closer to Nathan than he already is.
Charizard's exempt since he already got Happiness from watching stuff burn.
Princess gets +1 Happiness, finally getting to see the fruits of all of her studies of rulership pay off. She now has a perfect 5 in both Happiness and Loyalty!
Grid gets +1 Loyalty, as he's been with Nathan through thick and thin for almost the entire journey. Not even a Legendary pokemon can keep them apart, as proven with Seikamater already!
