About nuclear pokemons ... I think you need one, if you want evolve eevee (you don't have yet) to Nucleon. Eevee evolve into Nucleon at lvl 20+ with a nuclear pokemon in the party.
Although you don't want keep it, you can trade it later. Give up to catch a pokemon in an area in Nuzlock seems brave/risky for me.
