What I want is a alternative version. Something to be used to blind foes in case get nasty. Not the Held Item version where a Pokemon can use to escape wild battles. Per example if we get ambushed by bandits or something like that, I could throw the smoke bomb in its face to blind him for a few seconds with smoke.

Another type was thinking could be light bombs. Where it's explode on a high light to blind foes. Almost like a Flash, only on a weaker version.

Due to the nature of how they're used, Smoke Bombs are indiscriminate and affect the whole battlefield. They make Stealth Checks for escaping battle easier/possible, and reduce the accuracy of everyone on the battlefield for a short time.  Cost for the materials is still $4000.

Snowpoint doesn't sell the materials for a Flash Bomb.
