The interior of the building looks and feels like nothing like Randolph was likely expecting.  It's warm and cozy, the bed in the corner is made, there's a candle lit on a table in the dining area, there's a pot of something cooking on the stove (and it smells delicious, too!)...

Though thanks to Lucas's recounting of his own experiences, Randolph probably isn't surprised to see what looks like an elderly lady sitting at the table.  "Oh?  Ah, a visitor.  It's been so long since someone's paid this dingy old place a visit.  Come, come, have a seat."

Well, if you say Ran's caught off guard by the unexpectedly homeliness of the now not so abandoned house, so be it! He's visibly startled to not see the interior in a state of disrepair or long suffering vacancy, blinking a few times and rubbing both his eyes as he takes everything in. That's soon put to a stop when the old lady the champ mention jolted him out of his slight stupor ('Einfache häusliche Schrecken, wie habe ich sie vorher nicht bemerkt ?!), prompting him to snap his attention straight to the gram gram before trying pass it off his overall reaction with a cough.

"Ehrm....yes. Thank ya kindly, mam."

He paced over to the table and took a seat across from his now old hostess, now looking more composed and respectful, but still ever so minutely confused as to what the heck was going on. Then with a mental scoff he dismissed such feelings and settled in, adjusting himself in the seat so that he was both comfortable and could actually look his elder in the eye.

'Bah, to hell with trying to figure this out. So long as whatever is going on here doesn't try to damn or entrap me soul and is hospitable, it can keep its own mysteries.'

It took several seconds for the dwarven blacksmith to ponder what else to say to her, before he settled on fairly straightforward introductions.

"Name's Randolph Schmidt, but you can call me Ran, mam. It's nice to meet ya. As for my intrusion here, I saw this little abode while I was hiking out here with my partners and decided to check it out while they were off on their own business. Hopefully my visit ain't a bother to ya, mam."
