"Fossil breeding is... tricky. Sometimes you revivify a fossil and the subject is sterile. Sometimes they can reproduce under laboratory conditions only. Sometimes the Eggs are... strange. I theorize these could be a mix of Aerodactyl, Charizard, and possibly some nonfertile or mutated Eggs. Perhaps even another undead form? An undead Pokemon is unprecedented. This could only happen in the Skull Ruins, I can tell you that much."
"I can loan you some books and videos on fossil excavation. It takes a lot of patience to get the hardest fossils out intact. I'll loan you some fine tools, but there's no shortcut to a good excavation. Someone was working on an in-situ portable revivification process, but they never got it working."
Mesprit is sitting on the Murkrow's nest of an unused ship in Corsage Port, staring out to sea. You step through and find yourself in the bucket behind Mesprit. There are people walking the docks far below, but they can't see you.

"Well, these two were apparently down there for a veeeeerrrrry long time. My best guess is they're from Sarimanok's time. Charizard would have been long dead if it weren't for that Mega Stone like item embedded in its skull. At least, I think that's what's holding it together...it certainly seems like the kind of item that Sarimanok would have experimented with to some degree. What also really interests me about that undead Charizard, however...it knows Fire Pledge and Blast Burn. I'm not quite sure how, though..."
"In any case, I actually wanted to ask if you'd be interested in researching the parents further. If not now, maybe later. Getting them to be obedient is probably going to be hard, but I imagine we could possibly learn a lot about old revivification techniques from them. If you're not sure if you could keep these two under control, I could see if I can help with their obedience issues. Probably gonna take awhile, though. I've got some bigger priorities right now, unfortunately."
Nathan really appreciates the help with the fossil excavation materials. "Those references and tools would be very helpful, yes. I'll make sure to do some thorough reading when I have the time.

Mesprit:
Nathan quietly looks out over the ocean as well, though he glances at Mesprit every so often.
It's a nice view. One that was worth protecting. All those pokemon that live there...and those that live across the sea, too...
...though with that observation, Nathan's thoughts inevitably turn to one of the topics he wished to discuss with Mesprit...across
the sea...Uxie might still be out there somewhere...probably not in that direction, but across the sea all the same...
Those are just Nathan's thoughts on the view, though. Pretty, though it reminds him of the scale of some of the things he still needs to do. Can Nathan tell what Mesprit's feelings on this vista are? That'll likely determine the direction the conversation takes initially.
