Ran slightly arches an eyebrow at her request, not because it was outlandish or unreasonable but because how non-descriptively she phrased it. It didn't prevent him from seeing/finding the deeper meaning in her words by any means, as he was one Smart, paranoid, and mean cookie and was aware of her/The House's less than typical nature, but that also didn't prevent him from feeling fairly suspicious and cautious about it. Typically in his experience, the less someone explicitly says about a request, job, or duty, the more likely the hard and fine details of it are either non-existent for various foreboding reasons or are just plain unpleasant themselves. Most frequently, this belief of his was proven true in his blacksmithing career when customers gave him shady/nebulous requests, and it was just recently and most adamantly reinforced by Rowan and the almost literally god forsaken job he damn near duped him and his partner into. 

Despite that, he ended up shrugging his shoulder and agreeing to the elderly crone's request. Partially out of obligation for the sacred hospitality she gave him, but partially because from his brief interactions with her he was not getting  any bad vibes from her, and therefore was willing to extend a modecrum of trust to the old woman. That, and he needed ANY information on what in the gelid hell was going on with the Routes and the supernatural force behind it, and as the saying goes 'beggars can't be choosers.'

"Alright, I'll go and settle down that friend of yours. By force even, if that need be the case. 'Fore I go do that, though, care to share any details about your friend and suggestions as to how ya think they should be handled, so I ain't going in to deal with them totally blind like a Zubat? *Huffs* In the metaphorical sense, I mean - the white outside might make a 'good' enough effort to give me snow blindness anyway....."

"How I think they should be handled?  Honestly, it doesn't paticularly matter.  Handle them however you wish.  I just need this Arceus forsaken blizzard to settle down so I can deal with them myself later if necessary."

"As for details...well, you might find this interesting.  I can tell you have a...ghostly presence about you."

The old woman pulls a piece of paper out of her pocket and sets it on the table for Randolph to pick up.  Strange symbols are inscribed on it.

It's unmistakably a Spell Tag.

"That should help you with locating that friend of mine.  Or maybe their affinity for the spiritual will draw them to you instead.  Hehehehe."

The laugh is somehow both lighthearted and unnerving simultaneously.

The elderly lady then coughs and continues.  "If you need some further assistance, I've seen a strange Wingull flying around recently.  I don't know where they came from, but dark clouds seem to follow in their wake wherever they go.  I imagine they'd be a powerful ally.  Unfortunately, as confined to my home as I am, I'm afraid I can't be much more help than what I've offered already."
