[Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery

Lucas tries to avoid being overly negative, though he's frowning as Kogeki badmouths his friends.  "I'm sure they'd help us more if they could.  They wouldn't have asked us to do this if they didn't think we could handle it."  He sighs.  "...just so you know, I'm almost certain that Uxie knows exactly how critical you're being of them.  You're probably not earning any favors with them with that attitude."

He doesn't say much in response during Randolph's own comments on Kogeki's attitude, just silently nods in agreement.  One bad apple can ruin the bunch, as they say. Lucas can sympathize with Kogeki's situation a little, but he's not gonna sit idly by while Kogeki roasts good friends of his.

It's after that point that a Togekiss pops out of their pokeball on Lucas's belt, cooing soothingly at Lucas.  He can't help but chuckle and lighten up a little.  "Always on point with the comforting, as usual.  Thanks, Samuel."  Lucas then coughs.  "Well, I'm gonna go do a little scouting, see if I can't spot this Froslass or find clues that point to its location.  Holler if ya need me."

Trying to coordinate 4 pokemon that aren't used to working together is gonna be a challenge!

Ed looks eager to get digging, however!  Oh boy, play time!  +1 Happiness for Ed, and no roll required for him.  He likes being outside.

Hazel the Monferno doesn't have any particular incentives to help, so there's a chance she might Slack Off instead.

Hazel
L: (6)(4)

Nami doesn't usually do manual labor, so she might refuse to help.  Telekinesis also isn't very good at moving snow since the fluffy stuff isn't one big object, so she'll focus on freeing individual objects from it instead if she listens.

Nami
L: (2)(1)(4)
D: (1)(5)(3)(2)

Shenzi also requires an obedience check, mostly because she might opt to do something other than digging.  She's a fighter and a mother, not a worker.

Shenzi
L: (4)(5)
D: (4)(5)(6) (Disobedience is three in this case since the situation doesn't directly involve protecting and caring for Ed in an obvious way)

Shenzi opts to keep watch and sniff around for potentially dangerous wild pokemon instead of digging, though she occasionally glances back at Ed to make sure he's still doing okay.

Nami and Hazel might be reluctant to help at first, but they eventually agree to assist.  Between Hazel melting the snow on the ground, Ed loosening it with his paws, and Nami using Telekinesis on the wagon, Kogeki's not only able to find items in the snow, but also get the wagon out of the deep snow entirely with a little time and elbow grease!  Searching it after that is a breeze.

Kogeki finds the following in the snow and in the wagon itself:
- a bunch of soggy envelopes that look like they contain letters, though none of them seem to have anything noteworthy about them
- a package containing 10 Great Balls, 2 Max Potions, and 1 Max Revive.  The label on it is ruined and impossible to read.
- a TM for Focus Blast
- another package with an unreadable label containing a Charcoal, two Fire Gems, three Occa Berries, three Cheri Berries, three Bluk Berries, three Watmel Berries, a Destiny Knot, and an Everstone with a note attached to it that says:  For your breeding project.  Maybe we'll finally be able to breed a _____________ with these items.  The missing part of the message is smudged and unreadable from moisture that had seeped into the box.  The berries seem to be fine despite the cold, damp conditions, however.
