Boarder Round 1
Kee doesn't immediately know what Anderind's ability is because it was already hailing in the first place, as it always is on this Route unless there are outside factors involved.
Not that the hail does anything in the first place while Golduck's on the battlefield, thanks to Cloud Nine. Oh well.
The boarder blinks in surprise at Kee's elightening statement. "Wait, really? This isn't a totally new species of pokemon? Man, that's like, a total bummer...well, they're still a totally awesome species, at least! What they're capable of will totally blow you away, dude!"
Anderind skids atop the snow, completely unaffected by the dexterity drop thanks entirely to his snowboard-like tail, having too much fun with its hobby despite the battle going on (similar to Core). Golduck, meanwhile, takes it a little slower (similar to Kee's pokemon), giving Aya the stink eye all the while (and Aya returns the snooty gaze).
Anderind's skating around the battlefield so quickly, he's able to protect Golduck from incoming attacks!
Wide Guard 1
9 base - 2 = 7
(6)(2)(1)(4)(3)(2)(3)
Dave's side of the battlefield was protected! Not that it matters when Kee's pokemon aren't attacking right away.
Golduck still tries to take advantage of this opportunity to attack his rival, however!
Zen Headbutt 1
8* base - 2 = 6
(5)(4)(1)(5)(3)(4)
3 Str + 3 Pow - 3 = 3
(6)(3)(6) Aya takes 2 damage 7/9 HP -1 Pain
(5)(2)(3)
Core's hardcore vibes soon dominate the battlefield, though, becoming louder than the snowstorm. Golduck raises its hands to its head to try and block out the sound.
Metal Sound 1
(4)(2)(1)(6)(2)(5)(1)(3)(1)
Golduck's Sp. Def is decreased by 2!
A soothing, pink mist covers Kee's side of the battlefield. It smells like the ocean tide. Core loves this scent, because it reminds him of home back in Bealbeach.
Aromatic Mist 1
(5)(5)(3)(6)(2)(4)(4)(5)(3)
+1 Def and Sp Def for Core
Anderind suddenly jumps and slams into the deep snow, causing a seismic shockwave that creates rolling waves of the white, fluffy stuff! Golduck's unfortunate enough to get caught in the blast radius along with Kee's pokemon. It also covers both Kee and Dave in even more snow. Dave has to spend an action cleaning the snow off of his goggles, as it's preventing him from watching the battle.
Magnitude (5) 2
8 base - 4 = 4
(6)(4)(2)(2)
4 Str + 5 Pow + STAB - 3/4 = 7/6 D6
(5)(5)(1)(3)(6)(5), (3)
Core takes 4 damage! 3/7 HP -2 Pain
Aya takes 4 damage! 3/9 HP -2 Pain
Golduck takes 4 damage! 4/8 HP -2 Pain
Once Golduck finds its feet again, it tries to do significant damage to the pokemon that very nearly damaged its hearing, quacking angrily.
Aqua Tail 2
8* - 4 - 2 pain - 1 acc = 1
(5)
3 + 3 + STAB - 4 = 3
(5)(3)(6) Core takes 2 damage! 1/7 HP -3 Pain
(6)(2)(1) Core Flinches 2!
Core might be reeling from that Golduck's attack, but Aya certainly isn't! The snow begins to swirl around her, melting and becoming water as she begins to sing a sweet serenade to put her opponents to sleep...
Sparkling Aria 2
(6)(1)(1) +1 Will, which saves the accuracy roll! Spend that Will Point!
11 base - 3/1* = 8/10 D6 (+1 on Anderind, -1 on Golduck)
(5)(4)(4)(5)(3)(5)(3)(4), (4)(4)
Golduck takes 7 damage and faints!
Anderind takes 7 damage and faints!
As the snowboarder's pokemon both faint from the Torrential assault, causing big, puffy, snowy explosions as they collapse into unconsciousness, the snowstorm starts to pick up again. It's kinda hard to see the two comatose pokemon in the deep snow.
Having finally cleaned his goggles off, Dave's left blinking in surprise again. "Huh? What just happened, dude? Where'd my pokemon go?"
Kee defeated Snowboarder Dave!
