As Marshtomp is sparring with the puppies, his moment comes and he begins glowing with blue light. The ground in the dogpen becomes a pool of deepest mud, and he sinks inside. That blue light shines out through cracks in the suddenly drying mud as evolutionary energy spills everywhere. With a shattering noise, flakes of clay fly everywhere, and Marshtomp - no, Swampert! comes erupting out of the mud and sweeps up a dozen puppies in his strong arms.
