[Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery

Octavia's finding it difficult as well.  She can't use her ribbons to sense the pokemon's feelings because it's too deep underwater for her to touch it.  That, and she isn't yet certain if she wants to disturb the tranquil, still water in the first place...

????? Kee gives his dearest faeeveelution a rather puzzled look and then gently pats her head. "W...what's wrong my dear, you prefer to not meddle with this lake? Well, ya're usually none who's acting afraid or scared, but if ya'd rather stay out 'n this case, I'll let ya." BUT he keeps Octavia outside aka doesn't withraw her into her respective Ball, just in case.

Karen peeks over the edge of the pier, trying to get a read on the pokemon.  "...uuuummmm...it's honestly hard to tell.  I don't think it's noticed us yet..."

Karen receives a very thankful and charming look from Kee before he returns to STAAAAAARRRREE into the water and at this unknown Pokemon. "Ya say they haven't noctived us yet, have they? Well, then I'm gonna MAKE 'em." He rummages a bit in his stuff, asks Octavia to summon a Light Screen protecting him and herself, then drops a handful of dried berries and ordinary Pokemon Food into the water.

Karen backs up, just in case.

As soon as Kee drops the food in the water, it causes ripples on the surface.  The heavier food begins to sloowwwwly sink...

...and then the shadow of the serpentine pokemon takes immediate notice, its tail scales glittering in the light.  It begins swimming towards the food very quickly...

...and then the food disappears as soon as the pokemon reaches it, bursting from the surface of the lake in the process (and getting everyone wet as well)!

It's very obvious what pokemon it is now that it isn't hiding in the depths any more.  And it's a beautiful, breathtaking sight as it leaps out of the water.

Back into the water it goes, as it twists and turns gracefully, reorienting itself.  Eventually, it resurfaces, more gently this time, its head on eye level with the strangers who have decided to pay its domain a visit.

And then everyone in Team K hears a feminine voice in their heads.  Well, I don't get very many visitors here.  Welcome to my lake, travelers.  What brings you to my humble abode? Oh, and thank you for the snack, by the way. It wasn't much, but I was feeling a little peckish, so it should tide me over for now. The pokemon nods to Kee in thanks.

Karen stares at the pokemon, her jaw hanging, awestruck.  Did...did that pokemon just 'talk' the same way that Sally can?!
