Question, Dragonstrike: Does Lucas have HMs on him, or did he leave that all stored away of his PC? Because I was thinking of some possible Moves for Paula to learn, and Surf is a pretty nifty one. Bit indescriminate with who it hits, but nifty none the less!

Max Happiness or Loyalty is need to trigger Mega Evos, right?

I was wondering when someone would ask. ;P  Yes, Lucas does have HMs on his person.  On a related note, Karen actually has an HM for Defog, too.

Yup, Megas typically need Max Happiness or Loyalty before they can be triggered safely.  You could TRY to trigger them before then if you wanted to, however...

Well, up until now I don't think anyone was really interested in adding non-Legendary HM Moves to their Pokemon's roster, nor pester Lucas (and by extension, you) for more Moves that we don't strictly need. Ran's Selkid, however, is pretty much at a dead end so far as learning any particularly useful Moves (Unless we count Perish Song, but Ran already has Catherine for that drastic measure) until she Evolves, so the only way she'll be improving offensively is raising her Stats or getting TMs to increase her repitoire of Moves.

Erm....yeah, that sounds like a good terrible idea. Using power you're next yet capable of wielding properly is a easy way to let DMs screw you over, so let's not open ourselves to that abuse, yes mates?
