Randolph himself whips his arms up and down a bit to get the stiffness/strain out of them post rescue, then calmly and quietly letting the dapper dressed man collect himself first and take things at their own pace. When they do and ask for introductions, he steps forward and offers them a handshake, his expression serious but not unapproachable so.

"Name's Randolph Schmidt, and these *Jerks thumb at the rest of his group* are my partners Karen, Rui, and Scizors - he's an Independent Pokemon, by the way. Have other ones besides them, but they're off exploring the rest of this area. I presume you're Johnathan, yes? Before you ask how I know that...."

He reaches into his inventory, and pulls out the Fiery Journal and Red Top Hat, and presents it to the bedraggled but still fine looking man.

"....We found these scattered back past that mess that avalanche created. Read this journal here - hope you don't mind, if its yours - and we decided to Dig a path through it to see if we couldn't find the persons mentions in it. Looks like we did, and in the nick of time to - if you are Johnathan, of course. "

If the man asks were the rest of his missing belongings are, Ran will say he and the rest of his current group has them, and will offer the Sword Dance TM, Big Nugget, and Fire Plate he took back to them if he requests. Ran's no thief, nor would he ask to keep such valuable after saving their life. He's principled like that, and he sure as heck won't extort or pressure a person like a certain professor...

Jonathan wastes no time in shaking Randolph's hand, that beaming smile still on his face. "Yes, that would be me.  Jonathan Brightflame, at your service!  Oh?  Ah, yes, those are mine!  Thank you very much!  Guess I must have dropped them in my haste!  Ahahahaha!"

Jonathan immediately puts on his hat and pockets the journal.  Then he rummages around in his pockets.  "Now let's see...you saved my life and all, so I think a reward is certainly in order...now where did...hmmmm...you didn't happen to pick up anything else, did you?  I seem to be missing a few things still..."

When Randolph offers to return the other belonging, Jonathan politely declines.  "Oh, dear me, nevermind that!  Keep them!  Consider it your reward!  To be perfectly honest, I'm not really much of a Pokemon Trainer.  The TMs aren't much use to me personally.  I can always buy more later if I need them.  The tablet, though...hmmmm, yes, quite irreplaceable.  Can't find those lying around at just any old auction house!  However...it was that item that guided me to that dreadful landslide...hmmmm...maybe it's not as much of a good luck charm as I thought...tell you what.  You can keep that tablet as well if you like.  I'd rather it not bring me more misfortune than good luck as long as I'm on this mountain.  Speaking of which...do you happen to know how to get back down to ground level?  I cannot for the life of me find the way."
