Jonathan wastes no time in shaking Randolph's hand, that beaming smile still on his face.  "Yes, that would be me.  Jonathan Brightflame, at your service!  Oh?  Ah, yes, those are mine!  Thank you very much!  Guess I must have dropped them in my haste!  Ahahahaha!"

Jonathan immediately puts on his hat and pockets the journal.  Then he rummages around in his pockets.  "Now let's see...you saved my life and all, so I think a reward is certainly in order...now where did...hmmmm...you didn't happen to pick up anything else, did you?  I seem to be missing a few things still..."

When Randolph offers to return the other belonging, Jonathan politely declines.  "Oh, dear me, nevermind that!  Keep them!  Consider it your reward!  To be perfectly honest, I'm not really much of a Pokemon Trainer.  The TMs aren't much use to me personally.  I can always buy more later if I need them.  The tablet, though...hmmmm, yes, quite irreplaceable.  Can't find those lying around at just any old auction house!  However...it was that item that guided me to that dreadful landslide...hmmmm...maybe it's not as much of a good luck charm as I thought...tell you what.  You can keep that tablet as well if you like.  I'd rather it not bring me more misfortune than good luck as long as I'm on this mountain.  Speaking of which...do you happen to know how to get back down to ground level?  I cannot for the life of me find the way."

Ran returns their smile with a half smirk, giving their hand a firm pump before letting go and crossing his arms. 

"Thought so, but you know what they say about assuming: it makes an ass out of yourself. *Chuckles* And its more the other way 'round, given we just pull ya from the brink. Wouldn't mind any additional help you can provide, though."

The bristly blacksmith is a bit uncharateristic sad at returning such a fine hat to the dandy gentleman, but he hides it well as asks and answers the man questions. When they insist he and the others keep his formerly Items, he's at first hesitant to do so, but decides to accept the generosity with a small *sigh* and a nod. He doesn't feel that it's right to take payment for such a priceless thing as a life (He's not that mercenary about doing services), but if they feel so strongly the need to reward him and the others, he won't affront the man's dignity and good grace by refusing. That includes keeping the Fire Plate (something Brigid is no doubt happy about), but after hearing the fiery breeder say it lead him to disaster made Ran do a doubletake at it, before quickly looking back at the man.

"Wait. what? The Fire Plate took ya group to it? How?"

As for their question of escaping the Mystery Dungeon, Ran looks troubled for a moment, before he glances over to Scizors and raises a meaningful eyebrow at them.

"....Given the state Mt. Coronet's in right now, backtracking out of it ain't so easy as you think. Not sure if you could even Rock Climb, Fly, or rapple down the mountain itself to escape it. But....Scizors might know or have a way to get ya out of here, since he's sorta of an expert on what's happening to the mountain. If ya wondering how, its a long, weird story. I'll tell it to you if that's what you want, but if Scizors can get you outta here....well, it be unnecessary details to trouble ya with, in my opinion. "

And thus the scuffy smith throw the ball into the red Explorer's court! Go get it, mantis!
