[Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery

Well, that feeling makes him a lot more introspective about the Items of Arceas he carries. Are they calling him and any others that hold them to the mountain because of this ongoing Tauros shit supernatural mystery force, is that just a general response they have the closer someone gets to Mt. Coronet and/or Spear Pillar? And is this feeling well intentioned, benign, or possibly even malevolent ? Certainly something for Ran to mull over as his continues his exploration of the mountain...

- "*Nods* Alright. Glad to hear that old Coronet didn't give you too much grief, despite its current status ."

- "Excellent. My collection isn't large, but I got my sights set on adding a Heatran to it one, if I can ever find one of those molten buggers. Know their kind occassionally pop up in Mt. Stark, but no matter how many times I've visited I haven't caught a whiff of them. Who knew they can be such sly bugger, hmpt. If you could help me out on that front, I'd be more than willing to share'm with ya , if I can Catch it or get it to offer its services to me."

If me or my partners can't solve this mystery that's been plaguing our region, be it through failure on our part or us dying, I want to ensure that all the information we've gathered so far is in the hand of the public and Rowan ASAP so they can pick up the torch and carry on in our place. Otherwise, if we do fail.....well, nothing will get better about this, and everything will just get worse , even if I do know how. That's the scariest part, Johnathan - we don't know what this mystery is fully capable of, or what its end goal or consequences behind it actually are. So I ask you again, would you please get the information I'm offering ya to the public first, and then Rowan? If you won't do it for us, then do it for everyone else in Sinnoh."

If a Roll is necessary to convince Johnathan about this, I'm prepared to have Ran spend 48 XP to raise his INS and Contest by 1 at the very least. I may spend even more, after I count how much XP I've earned from the past few Fights that Ran's hand with his Pokemon.

- Jonathan's quite surprised at Ran's goal of getting a Legendary pokemon.  "A Heatran?!  My, that's...certainly ambitious.  What I wouldn't do to have a Legendary Fire type in my own collection...but alas, I'm afraid such a dream is likely beyond a man of my capabilities.  If you do find any leads, however, I'd certainly be more than happy to assist you however I can should we share the reward!"

- Yeah, Jonathan's gonna need a little convincing before he'll take that letter.  It's a convincing argument, though, so the roll will get a +1 bonus.  This particular persuasion attempt will be Empathy based, as it's playing on sympathy and good nature.  (Please make sure you update your character sheet to reflect the upgraded stats, Windos)

Jonathan will roll Will to oppose it.  He has 5 Will.

Jonathan reluctantly agrees to Randolph's request.  "...well, if it's that important...if you haven't resolved...whatever is going on in a few days, then I suppose I can get the word out..."

Jonathan obtained Randolph's letter!

"Well then, I do believe it's about time I was on my way.  I just pray that whatever it is you want me to do works..."

Scizor holds out the Explorer Badge once more, and Jonathan touches it.  Scizor then holds it up in the air, and Jonathan is suddenly Teleported away by a pillar of light as the badge begins to glow!

...and the badge continues to glow as well, even after Jonathan leaves.  Both Karen and Scizor perk up when they see that.  "Oh!  The badge!  I think that means somebody found the stairs!"

Scizor nods, and indicates that everyone should be prepared to Teleport.  Time to go to the next floor of the dungeon!
