Espeon gives Kogeki a rather deadpan look.  Does he really think that Rui knows if any of her pokemon know Sleep inflicting moves?  Well, Espeon, for one, knows he doesn't!  He has his own battle plan!

Rui timidly stands back with Scizor and lets Espeon do most of the fighting.  She trusts the eeveelution, though she still isn't entirely sure why.

Kabutops swipes at the air with both scythe like appendages, creating a tornado of shadows that rips through the allied side.

Kabutops points a scythed limb at Espeon, perceiving them as a danger.  The Kabuto all focus their attacks on the purple kitty.

Every attack merely bounces off of Espeon's protective barrier.  Frustrated, Kabutops immediately directs the Kabuto to swiftly strike at a different, weaker target before preparing a powerful attack of its own.

It misses, however, and Aspido is none to pleased with his shell almost being gouged.  He grabs onto the Kabutops and sloooowwwwwly drains its life force from it.

The Kabuto all focus their attacks on Aspido this time, as he definitely seems to be the greatest threat to their leader.  They all crawl onto Aspido's shell and start poking him with their many, many legs.

As soon as their leader faints, the Kabutops start to panic and become much, much less coordinated.  They don't flee right away since they still have a numbers advantage, however.
