Trainer 'Owned' Legends usually attract all sorts of unsavory attention - though that may or may not be the case in Dragonstrike's universe, or in Sinnoh itself, given the regions reverance for tradition and its old myths and legends/Legends. If it doesn't bother you, could you confirm any of that, Mew?
Oh, it's not a bother to answer such an easy question!
Legendary pokemon do tend to draw a lot of attention if they ally themselves with humans, but it isn't always negative. Most Legends get to do whatever they wish so long as they continue to perform their duties and nothing bad arises from any potential partnerships, and those they do ally with tend to garner a lot of respect from other humans and even some Legendaries if the relationship isn't a secret. Usually, the more powerful, unique ones also have some means of being summoned by those they've allied themselves with, too. And if a Legend traveling with a trainer has somewhere important they need to be, they'll notify their trainer, then go off on their own to do whatever it is that needs doing, with or without their allies.
I'm fortunate enough to be one of the more discreet ones, since I am but a myth, after all!~ It's easy to hide and travel with a trainer when there's no solid evidence that you even exist!~ I imagine the Diamond Steelix would probably be similar, since this is honestly the first time I've ever heard of one. Granted, I doubt the general populace learning of them would be as big of a deal as someone allying with a Legendary. You could likely pass them off as just a really special Steelix, honestly.
TLDR; I wouldn't worry too much about it if a Legendary decides they wish to ally themselves with you, alright?
